SetiQueue Question

I need to move some wu from one queue to another. Can I just cut some wu from one SQ folder and paste it in another one?

The reason I ask is because there's more wu in the queue folder then what SQ is seeing, so does SQ keep a copy of a wu that is sent to a client and then removes it when the result is returned?

I don't wanna move wu to another queue if they've allready been given to clients and with that cause a lot of duplicates...

Thanx!

Setiq keeps a copy of the work units until the time limit expires or the work unit is completed then deletes it. You can close seti q and then cut and paste work units to another folder for use later .

Thanx, but if the other queue then gives a copy of a wu that's allready been given to another client, to a client, wouln't the result then be duplicated?

Yes it will be duplicated. Happens all the time and as long as the results aren't sent at the same time they are accepted.
This is also how a lot of the cheaters do it bty.

Exactly, login and go to TOOLS / MOVE WORKUNITS FROM ONE QUEUE TO ANOTHER. On the first page select the SOURCE QUEUE and on the second page select the "DESTIONATION QUEUE" (I didn't mis-spell "destionation", that's a mis-spelling in the SetiQueue program). At the bottom, enter the number of WUs you want to move. You can even select if you want to move theOLDEST FIRST or the NEWEST FIRST.

Good luck :)
