SetiQ and the Machine

First.....SetiQ is up and running on a different machine at the moment

All WU's that i have, have been sent.........there are no more straglers..........if you are missing some......sorry

Second.......the machine the Q was on is half-dead........it will currently run with only one processer in it.

Will get a new board this weekend and hopefully have it up next week sometime.

Third........with this happening I have been working 6~8 hrs in the evening on sorting this all out...........I am far from a mastermind at all this...........it is mainly a hobby and learing experience for me...........my 8 hr a day job has nothing to do with computers..........I provide the Q as a service to this community mainly for those who cannot or prefer to have someone else cache WU's.

As for the lost work and the weirdness with the user_sah's................I'm sure the hammering my box took when it came back up had a role in handing things out incorrectly..........other than that, I couldn't tell you what happened.

First, thanks for running the Queue as smoothly as you do. Problems arise and you've done a fantastic job at keeping it going...I salute you for it. Sorry for your dead board...🙁

A few lost WU's here or there are nothing in comparison to the service to provide to the TeAm.

Glad to see you have survived! Thanks for all the hard work you've put in for all involved, if there is anything I can do to help I make myself available to you. Real bummer to hear about the board, the CPU's are good though? Memory, VRM's (if there on there) etc..? I hope so. Take a rest after all of this. 🙂

Your SetiQueue is a great service to us all. As I have mentioned before since I started using your Queue my average times went down on my 98 machines.

He's alive! 😀 Thanks for the update, man. Glad to have you back. I love your proxy and wouldn't want to have to change. Hope you get everything back to 100% in the near future. Like I said in another thead, we'll probably end up owing you a new board once everything clears up here. In the mean time, don't forget to relax. 6-8 hours/day is a lot of work to put in for the TeAm (but we're all VERY appreciative that you do it). 😀
 
Shux.....the VRM's are the problem I think, but as the are soldered on this boad it renders it worthless.

When I plug in the second cpu the voltage on the 5 line goes from 5.16 to 4.99 and the 12 goes from 12.16 to 11.88...........still should be enough I would think but have tried two different power supplies with no luck.

Either cpu will run everything fine alone but when two are in the board it locks up about two minutes after reboot.

Evevrything else is ok as far as I know..........after lots of trail and error testing...........

Hang in there OK! I went through similar nuisance this past week with my dually and a bad stick of RAM (discovered after reinstalling 2K AS didn't fix the problem). 🙁

Definitely a PITA!
 
No complaints here, OrangeKid. You've gone above and beyond the call of duty. Sounds like your equipment has done likewise! Maybe we need a little fund drive here?
