My local client is the only one that has a name..
all the others are "w" and the last 2 digits of their IP address?
It must be a network setting or something. Anyone want to try and offer some help.
All computers are NT4 with sp6, all have static IP's, and are on 2 workgroups...
Please help... its really a pain trying to see who is who, I have to get out my little IP cheat sheet and look up each address...

no idea. under win98, as long as there's a name under the identification tab of the network control panel, that's what is displayed in setiq. i'm just giving another bump basically. sorry OB.

Definatley a network setting problem, you need a windows guy for this though, my guess would be something to do with NIS or netbios or WINS or something along those lines.

Sorry I can't be more help

🙂
