All depends, you gotta have a compatible ram. DFI loves OCZ.

yeah, what are your parts. and check out dfi.street.

heres my first boot-
1-fire it up, hit del and enter bios
2-go to "load optimized defaults" hit yes then save and exit.
3-on reboot, hiit del and enter bios
-go to advanced and check boot order. go down to the bottom and disable full screen logo
- go to genie bios, set vid to 1.4v and spec to 104%, dram to 2.7v.
4-save and exit.

on step 4 i always also enable memtest and run at least a full pass with no errors. its the last option down the bottom.

then you do your os install, chipset drivers, vid drivers and go from there.

no different than any other board.

If you have a 480w PSU w/24-pin connector, everything should boot up fine with the optimized defaults loaded.

It's when you start tinkering that it can get messy with the DFI board.

running DFI Ultra D with 400W Seasonic PSU and Corsair RAM...stock speeds. No problems whatsoever. With your setup, you won't need much power. I do recommend u get native 24 pin PSU though...as the Seasonic is.
