setidriver setup help

I'm finally home for a few days and I'm trying to bring my new server online (W2K AS). It has been sitting on my desk for almost 3 months waiting for me to get to it. The I will attack the machines in the garage.

I installed setidriver, but I'm hung up on step 9 of the install guide

which says:
Navigate to the C:\Windows\System directory and find the "Conagent.exe" file. Right-click it, and choose Properties. Navigate the tabs in properties until you find "Warn if Still Active". Uncheck this option. This prevents some shutdown difficulties on certain platforms.

When doing a search I dont find a conagent.exe anywhere on my hard drive, is this going to make a difference?

cakin,

That step would only be for Win95/98 (ME?). It doesn't apply to Win2k, XP as they shutdown fine without it! 🙂

more...more....more! :Q

Edit: Just a bit faster than Ray! :Q

I believe the conagent.exe instructions are for WIn95, maybe Win9x, so that when you shutdown the PC, you don't get a pop-up message stating the SETIDRIVER program needs to be closed first.

With Win2K, I think you are fine. 😀

Doh, just a bit slower than Engineer. :Q

😀
