Version 1.6.0.0
SETI Driver home page
- Added a Stop Transmit Button - terminates the transmit session immediately
- Improved readability of the Estimated Time and Completion Information.
- Display a hidden auto-transmit after 15 minutes on a single cache entry transmit.
- Upgrade SETILog support for SETILog Version 3.1. SETI Driver will also upgrade from the previous version of SETILog.csv.
- Recoded orphaned client detection to terminate any processing clients. This method doesn't lock up intermittently and it allows for multiple copies of SETI Driver to operate simultaneously.
- Added -affinity switch to tell SETI Driver to set the processor affinity for the SETI Client. This option and its associated checkbox is only available for multi-processor systems.
- Cleaned up command line parameter parsing so excess spaces no longer cause problems while reading the command line.
- SETI Driver icons have been completely revamped. See the Icon section on the SETI Driver home page for more information.
- Added a decimal place on the Progress Monitoring status bar - This value is truncated, not rounded.
- Changed display to report the number of cache entries that need to be filled. The old number, "Empty Cache Entries" no longer applies with the new cache element deletion algorithms. Now the "Ready to Transmit" number will contain the number of result.sah files that exist and the "Need to Fill" contains the number of empty cache entries that will be filled during the next transmit. The two numbers, though the same when the cache size isn't changing and all transmits are working properly, should not be considered related.
- Modified startup sequence to eliminate deletion of empty cache directories, as long as the cache directories are numbered sequentially from 1.
- Eliminated the nn.TransmitError directory creation added in v1.5.0.3 - SETI Driver now handles this itself.
- Added a registered message for other applications to close SETI Driver in a controlled manner to allow SETI Driver to terminate the SETI Clients.
- Transmit Process Priority set to High - this won't impact overall system performance since the bulk of the transmit time is spent waiting.
- SETI Driver only writes to SETILog.csv on a successful transmit. Previous version wrote every time a transmit was attempted
