Seti WU shortage

I've got four dual core machines to do crunching and only CUDA work units seem to be downloading on a single machine. I see there are 100k+ available on the server stats page. Occasionally I'll get a work unit, maybe 2, then it's a day or better before I get another. Any idea what I could have screwed up? The same preferences have worked for years but after a 6 month break or so they seem to be borked. Don't see what could be causing it.

6/16/2009 9:05:29 AM|SETI@home|Message from server: (Project has no jobs available)

Even though I see plenty out there.

Hmmm, I do not really know. But: If you have run out of WUs and all are sent back, and you have no WUs in your cache, you could reset the project.
That has helped me now and then ...

Please remember, if you reset the prjocts while you have WUs crunching, you'll loose the time your comp has crunched ...

I have been getting the "Project has no work available" message from SETI off and on for the past week. It usually stops within an hour or two, but it has been happening for about 5 hours so far today.

The server status page does say that the project is out of work for Astropulse, but I'm not running Astropulse on any of my machines and the page says that there are 99K SETI work units available right now...

Picked up two for each machine at some point this morning. One had been crunching through milkyway@home WUs for about 12 hours.

i'm sorry... i didn't mean to take all the cuda work units. 😛

try running the optimized aps for cuda based systems...
linky
it gives you seti enhanced 6.08 ... i never run out of work to do

So what should I be running on each machine for max PPD? Optimized apps or just the 6.6.36? I don't really focus on a particular project as I'm just in it for the competition. Current setup below.

CYLON:
e7400@4.2 - BOINC: SETI and milkyway
GTX 260 - BOINC: Seti Cuda

PC0
e6750@2.66 - BOINC: SETI and milkyway
ATI 2400HD - Folding@Home

Laptop1
Core 2 @ 2ghz- BOINC: SETI and milkyway

Laptop2
AMD X2 1.6ghz- BOINC: Milkyway

Strange so many people aren't getting CUDA work units... that's all I seem to be getting. In the same boat as OP. One or two regular WUs then nothing for a few days.

I have been getting units, but some of the units I've crunched maintain a status of "uploading". They won't do anything else. Last time I reset the project to get rid of them, and now a bunch are back. :|

Don't reset the project when you have "uploading" results! They will upload sooner or later ... it may take 10 - 14 hours sometime, but as long as the comp crunches that is OK. Yesterday I had 142 WUs "uploading" and by today 12:00 midday they were all uploaded and verified. Just have patience ... 🙂

Yea don't cancel them mate, I had about 50% WUs finished waiting to upload this morning, they've all gone now 🙂.
