My mate DrE who runs SETIQ on his server for me & also runs SETI CLi on it came across something very odd a few days ago ,he discovered that on his server that 3 pics had been saved to his desktop showing a gaussian curves (looks like GUI SETI) in each pic ,in the title it says 'gaussian interesting& returned' ,they have been saved as a gif file.Is this a rarley known function of SETIDriver or SETIQ??

If I can find someone to send the 3pics (which have been put into a single bmp file) to then anyone can look at it ,maybe get some answers?

If anyone wants to see if they can trace the relevant WU(s?) then have a look at his SETIQ here

Hopefully someone can answer this puzzle ;)

Hmmm, I've never had that happen. And especially to put them right on the desktop. Email them to the SETI project head (I forget his name) and ask him about it. I emailed him once, and he was very polite and helpful in his reply.

I dunno about the strange WU's but looking at your SetiQ I think "Dr. E" and "Garry" need to keep their PC's on a bit more. ;)

Picture here

It does seem odd, It looks just like the pic's that SetiSpy has in the results area too. (hit details, and go to the Gaussian tab)
You can also save it, and it will look just like the files he has there.
(example here)

Also, you might want to tell your friend that it's not always the best idea to be using your admin account as your primary account.

Funny you mention SETI spy ,he may well be using SETIDriver & I think I got him to install SETIspy with it.
Maybe SETIspy spotted some good signals?

Thanks for hosting the pics Office Boy :)

lol ,beat ya to it;) ,I asked DrE earlier if he could put SETI back on his server ,he said no probs:) ,that's been a faithful workhorse that PC ,aside from the past month or so it's been running SETI for me 24/7 for nearly 2.5 yrs!
As for Garry ,it took me about 2yrs just to get him to run it!

,so I'm not going to push him;)
