How to run SETI and Join TeAm AnandTech

Once you have your SetiDriver setup and working properly it is recommended that you use one of the TeAm's SetiQueues.
This will insure you have WUs to crunch when the Seti Server is down.
How To configure your SetiDriver to use a TeAm SetiQueue. 🙂

Thanks for the warm welcome....

I was a member of Russ's RC5 team for a long time, but when that ended, I lost interest in Distibuted Computing.

I just stumbled across AnandTech again, and looked at the forum to see what was going on, and decided to try this Seti thing.

My current set up is a P4 @ 2.9 Ghz's, running the CLI...............is that going to put out good numbers?

Thanks again.

If you have your memory set as fast as you can with the fastest timings possible then yes you should be able to put out some good WU's times 😉

Hey welcome back to AT & DC
Yeah your rig will rock at SETI😀 ,you should easily get sub 3hr WUs ,I see its got RDRAM ,could well go below 2.5hrs/WU 🙂

In the SETI Driver window it says estimated time 2:32

Is that 2 hours 32 minutes?

Is that a good number, or is it a guestimate.

When you first start up Seti Driver it will give a faster estimate. At about 60-70% it should be pretty accurate, but to answer your other question 2:32 is a very good time depending on the AR (Angle Range) of the Work Unit 🙂
