Apparently I'm running version 3.08 on two of my machines, but 3.03 on another one. (SetiQ informed me of this)

What's the difference between the two and which is better/faster?
 
v3.08 is faster on VLAR (0.1 or less), while v3.03 is faster on "normal" wu. Personally, I've not seen a difference for High Angle-range-wu.

 
3.03 is faster for the broad range of WU's - you will get more WU's done overall with it over 3.08

A very slim chance that the client could be modified and told to speak to another computer.

A simple fix is to use a SetiQueue (such as mine or Smokeball's) that has the fix enabled (which is basically adding a line to your HOSTS file) or do it on your own machine.

It was only a "there is a slight possibility that this could happen, so we've patched it just in case", but there are no records (as far as i know) of it being exploited 🙂
