SETI V3.0 CLi BLOCKED?? (even through SETIQ)

I've just flushed my Q in 2 different PC's ,& whilst SETIQ managed to send off the results it wasn't able to get new WU's ,each time it tried it was halted with error 15.
I noticed some people on the Overclockers UK team also had similar problems

So is this the end of v3.0?
 
Hmm. My P133 running the 3.0 GUI is getting the upgrade message through my SETIQ server on my C433. I guess I'll be putting RC5 on the P133 tomorrow. 🙁

I'm going to try flushing my SETIQ with 1 3.0 CLI result in it...I'll see if it works.
 
3.0 CLI through SETIQ is working fine for me and office boy.

Assim, check your version settings in the different SETIQ .txt files.

I have a wu on this pc and it's stalled too....argggggg. I just checked and the data server is running too....double arrrrgggggg. I'm gonna lose a bunch this weekend if this is true! 🙁

Never mind, I just flushed and rec'd new wu's!!!
 
Yeah... they seem to be doing this at a certain time each day now to scare the sh1t out of people so they hurry up and upgrade... 😉

While we're on the subject, what needs to be done with SetiQ to make the 3.03 client work after the cutoff date? I thought I read something about adding a line to the hosts file. If so, does anyone know the line?

So far my 3.00 CLI work still does seem to get thru albeit at a MUCH slower speed than the 3.03 CLI; I'm planning to switch the remaining 30% of my fleet over to 3.03 tomorrow afternoon.

 
Robor - you'd need to add the new servername in the hosts file (although the data server IP remains the same as the old). I have:

shserver.ssl.berkeley.edu 128.32.18.166
shserver2.ssl.berkeley.edu 128.32.18.166
 
The_One's home SETIQ is also getting blocked from getting WU's ,though his error No is 38 ,that might be something to do with the fact he still has v2.02 on 2 PC's!:Q.
Just to reiterate we are both able to flush our results🙂

It might be a scare tactic ,but if you can't get WU's then you'll have to upgrade😛😉.
I'll try getting some more WU's for mine tommorow.

Robor, there might still be a problem. In the SETIQ folder are three .txt files that are used when SETIQ talks to the SETI servers. There is some type of version number in each of these files, and that may cause a problem with 3.0 is blocked. In two of my files I have major_version 3 and minor_version 0, and in one file I have major_version 2 and minor_version 5. We may have to change these files as well in the future.
 
Robor : The files lookup_user_name.txt and get_work_unit.txt contains the trace of the first SETI@Home version you used with SETIQ. Just replace the old values with
major_version=3
minor_version=3
and SETIQ will be happy. It works at home and I still have an old 0.76 version of SETIQ. 🙂

BTW I seem to be able to get WU's for v3.0 late at night (like now) but not earlier on ,I will change to v3.03 in the next few days
 
Um, Assim, sorry to disappoint you, but that's a pre-1.0 version of SetiQ. SetiQ is only in version 0.78b now!
 
Am I missing the point, Isn't Seti 3.03 there because it does more scientific processing, hence allowing a more thorough search, and are we not all doing this mostly for the research value and not for the stats?(just an interesting side note) Just upgrade for gord sakes 🙂 I dont want to 'kick' anything off but that's my 2p

 
lol ,The Ape ,you got hold of the wrong end of the stick 😛 ,look at the posting dates firstly & also I'm fixing the OLD SETIQ to work with the new servers ,I am running v3.03 SETI CLi 🙂
