Seti "Unknown Error -908"

Anybody know what this is. I'm using the CLI version. It still seems to be processing the WU's but two of them keep showing this error every 10 mins or so.

If they're trying to be sent to Berkeley, I believe Berkeley's all stopped up right now.

Even SetiTeam can't do anything.

I'd not seen this error before even when berkely was having problems.

Normaly I just get can't connect.

I'll wait and see if it clears up.

This happened to me yesterday when my employers DNS was non-functional. The DNS fix seemed to correlate exactly with SETI working.

Good luck.

barbary - the SETI website made a brief mention of that specific error message, when it apparently happened last Sun. night. They promptly removed that bit from the page by Tues. however... 🙁

Here's the latest from their slow-to-come-up website now:

"? March 6, 2002 18:00 UT ?
Our database problem is fixed and we are back online.

? March 6, 2002 16:00 UT ?
We are having trouble with our user database. The main data server as well as some web site functions are offline until we fix the problem."
