Wow, great time!

The only bad part is that the price for a barebones system like that would probably be close to $1500.

:Q I could get rid of 5 machines with the output from this one box! :Q

Thanks for pointing us to that article CyberDuck! I am glad to see someone including SETI as a benchmark!! :)

It should bring the cost of the 3.06 Machine down a lot and there isn't much difference in the times :)

I agree, I wish AT would use the standard SETI WU to test new chips and motherboard...... chipsets too. It's a good stability, and speed test. Longterm speed, not just short bursts in a game.

As it was I was shopping for upgrade material for a system and stopped by Abit to see what they had out new, wow the 875 boards were out :) then I hit Pricewatch, apparently they are barely hitting the retail channels, MSI, Intel, and Asus were the only ones in the channel, running from $175 - $225. Oh well, since the upgrade isn't for my main machine it has to wait :(

Has anyone got some SETI benchmarks for P4s running on the SiS 655 chipset? I'm done upgrading my PC, but it never hurts to know... :D

I'm waiting for the midlle-range Gigabyte. Seems to have the best feature et.

this chipset is looking mighty fine, and i like what intel has to offer. i do hope other board makers come out with their versions to drive the $$ down. at current benchmarks, it looks great for SETI :)

Now when do those P4's with 1 MB of cache and another die shrink come out, next year? :D

Too bad I don't do SETI... those would be great times for a 3GHz system @ 1100 from the ground up (except software).

Wonder how they do on SoB?...
