Seti times for my Duron sound right?

I have a Duron 700@933 running on an Abit KT7A at 133/133 CAS2. After 15 WU's I average 7 hours 11 minutes with Win2k server and the CLI. I use this computer 9-10 hours a day but nothing CPU intensive. Does that sound right?

I have a GlobalWIN FOP38 (loud but the Unisys mainframe behind me drowns it out :)) fan and the temp hovers 105-107 degrees F, but if it push the FSB up a mere 2MHz the thing won't boot. I run her at 1.80V. Any help with that either? Haven't tried the L1 bridges yet to unlock the multiplier so I'll probably try that today... although I would be happy if 933MHz was the max :)

Are you sure none of those progs are cpu intensive? ,have you checked them with a Task manager?
Nice machine you have BTW :)

Well, Thats alot faster then my duron 600@977. Gotta figure out why its only doing 9.5 hour wu's :(
Durons are supposed to be faster then cel's but ive seen 850 celerons that do faster wu times.

My Duron 900 (9*100) averages 8h36min on Win98SE with both SETI 3.03 CLI and RC5 running. When checking with ATM, DNETC.EXE takes 5 to 6% of the CPU usage. Without running RC5, I think could gain 30min per WU --> 8h per WU.
So your average time seems OK. :)

So far, I am getting about 4.5hrs per work unit, so for that speed it sounds about right. I have a faster CPU but the same motherboard, so it's a good comparison. Also, your Duron 700 should go over 1ghz easily without much trouble...most of the 600 hit 1-1.1ghz. How do you like the KT7A? :)

Ben, if you're getting 933Mhz out of that system without even touching the multiplier, you may very well have a system to drool over! Unlock those bridges and crank that baby up!! ;) You should EASILY get 1Ghz+!!

Hay Assim1,
FSB is 115 and for memory iam only using 64mb pc133 cas3.
Sisoft sandra reports memory Bus Speed as 109mhz.
This is a seti only Box with nothing else running.

Bens FSB is 133MHz (he has the KT133A chipset) ,so is his memory bus ,also he is running @ CAS2 at those settings ,that's why his times are much faster than yours.
BTW you'll probably find that if you reduce your FSB (& thus your memory bus too)a little to the point that your RAM will run at CAS2 then your times should improve.
Inccidently I am currently running PC133 CL3 at 126MHz CAS2 ,but that will vary with the RAM.Though I am surprised your PC133 CL3 won't do CAS2 at 109MHz.
Keep us posted :)
