SETI Stats Question... (post your SETI rig stats)

Looking through the stats I noticed some people's average time per WU's is like 7 hours... yet they complete 15 WU's per day. What do these people have, like 10 Pentium 2 400 Mhz machines in an office crunching all the time or something?

I run mine on my main rig, XP2500 @ 2.3 Ghz, and also on my default speed XP1700. The XP2500 finishes a WU in just about 2 hours, sometimes more, sometimes less, the XP1700 takes about 3 and a half hours... and the XP2500 doesn't crunch 24/7 so I average about 3 hours per WU.

What do you run it on?

Ok, Running on:

Main PC (2500+@2.15ghz): 7-9/day, depending on usage
Duallie (2x P3 500 @ 560): About 4/day
Server (P2 350): 1.4/day
And about 2-3/day from a couple of pc's that are sometimes on.🙂

2.4C - 14-15 a day
1.4M - 10-11 a day

can do 24-27 a day depending on the AR's

but sinc ei'm not in any races at the moment... i don't really crunch with my main.... just my lappy..

There's my fleet🙂.........though thinking about it that P4 hasn't crunched in months!🙁 ,& I think the Duron rig is lost(or maybe just packed away).

Keep in mind that some of us are old timers and back then there was no such thing as a single machine producing 20 WU/day. At that time having a P2-400 was *awesome*! 😛 Before the release of the (slower) 3.03 client I had P133's running SETI. In fact, when I first started I had 4 machines at home that would do about 10-12 WU/day total! :Q

My rigs are too many to list but they range from a low of a P3-500 to a high of a P4-2.4C @ 3.2Ghz. My average rig is probably a P3-1.2 or something like that.

XP1700+ at 2600+ (2100 ram at 2700). WU time is about 2:30
XP1600+ not OCd. WU time is about 4:00
Tbird 1.0b on PC133. WU time is about 7:00.

Since the rigs aren't always on, production varies, but it's around 5 WUs a day.

I'm the super inefficient user

2.4 P4c
512mb HyperX PC3200
all parts operating @ stocks speeds on Win XP

Take me approx 4-4.5hrs per WU

Reason - I'm using the graphical GUI version 😀 Yes, yes I'll change it soon
