I just noticed a real strange thing. I have 5 clients running all using spy. One of the Spy Programs in (User Statistics) in the Group area shows teamanandtech the other 4 clients do not. It must have been the way i configured the client when I set them up. How do I change the setup so that all my seti spy programs show teamandtech? I dont think it makes any difference but it may be the reason my count does not ever = the seti stats count. Strange I have never noticed it before.

Read the SetiSpy FAQ 2.17 and add your backup email address in your setispy.ini file. The update button should be reactivated.

Just noticed that the author of SetiSpy, Roelof J. Engelbrecht, has just announced that he will no longer offer any upgrades beyond the current Version 3.0.7 because of incompatibility with WindowsXP. :(

I sent him an appreciative email for his work. You all might consider doing the same. It may not change his mind about continuing support for SetiSpy but you never know what a little pat on the back and a thank you can do. ;)

I dont think my question has anything to do with the update button. I am talking about The Group name. The client that has the group name and the clients that do not have the group name both have the update greyed out. I dont care about the update button, just why one of my clients have the group name and the others do not.

Once you hit the update button, you should be able to obtain the group name. If you really want to force your team name in setispy without updating, you can also modify setispy.ini file to whatever you want it to show.
