Hey Team,

I have access to a lab of iMac G3-300s and 400s that I will be able to assimilate soon hopefully. What I need to know are a couple of things:

1. How do I setup SETI (the CLI version) on the machines so it runs at startup (either after logon or BEFORE logon would be even better)
2. How can I make SETI completely hidden from the user so they can't see it or tamper with it.

I know virtually nothing about macs, I have hardly used them, but if someone posts some step-by-step instructions, I should be able to follow! :D

I know I should use the Apple Darwin client, but I'll need some help setting up an apple script as well as making the install completely hidden. I think the OSes are OS9.1 and maybe some OS8.x operating systems. These are the old imacs, not the new fancy LCD ones.

I have a lab of 22 of these machines. ANy clue on how much to expect from them when using the CLI? I have heard rumours of 15 hours/wu, so that should be around another 33 WUs/day or so from these machines! Thanks for any help guys. :D

P.S. As there are 22 machines, any shortcuts would be greatly appreciated :D Or tips on how to do it quickly

The only CLI available for the Mac is for OS X. There is no CLI for OS 9 or 8. I am afraid the only course of action with those machines is the GUI.

Ahhh... dang. I thought the CLI was workable across the MacOS platform?

Well, any ideas on how to do what I stated above with the GUI client? Ta :)
