Well, it wouldn't be 100% interference-free, but at least 90+% of all interference would be eliminated, which alone would be worth it, if you ask me 🙂
 
Well when I said "interference-free", I meant from Earth ground and orbital stuff... 😛

By placing scopes on the dark side of the moon, all kinds of crap can be eliminated and the view would be facing out to the universe!!
