Following his racing buds into the victor's lounge this morning is another one of our illustriuous racers from the Canadian contigent, Yield who storms across the finish line in The Star-Studded Stellar Cluster Crunch to 2500 with an impressive run of 52 wu's. Although the power packed purgement may have more to do with the new race the Yielder is competing in against some very formidable foes. Irregardless, perhaps Yield will answer the call to party in the lounge for just a wee bit and partake of some victory refreshments and plop his behind down in the hottub for a little while and savor the fruits an SRL victory has to offer. Congratulations, Yield! The babes have the grease board warmed up and will thrill you with an informative lecture about the interaction of excited particles in a hot ionized plasma.
Excitement is brewing in the Race to 6000 where another Canadian racer is making a name for himself. Paf077 delivers a present consisting of 42 wu's, all wrapped up and tied with a bow, to Berkeley's doorstep. Just as Minnie Minendo had regained his earlier racing form, with dailies in the high twenties, the Pafster invites him to a second place party. With less than 150 wu's to go to the finish line, let's see if Minnie can mount a comeback. Droolie and Paz are mounting an all-out assault on lane42's position in the Race to 16000. Two days after Team Pazoo's wu chute clogging dump, they come right back with stellar double eights and the human tsunami, DroolMAN! slobbers all over 71 wu's to close to within 472 of first place.
Wirelessenabled continues his drive for the 10K prize in The Great 10K CountDown and is threatening to climb right over top of Mihai to become number 69 on the TA-Seti five digit list. Karsten, the master of Karnage, has rejoined the racing ranks in top form, his tough off-season training regimen proving its value. Still leading the Race to 9000 by nearly 200 workunits, Karsten is beating back each and every challenge mounted by Makin' Moxy Maku. Meanwhile, Domination stays above the 30 wu mark and closes in on the second position, followed by the Rowdy One who begins to salivate with the approaching weekend as that's when he can kick in the Rascal Rider's turbo boost and really make some hay.
Gertrude, the Shockie Fairie, bestowed two jaw-droppers amongst the racers in the Race to 8000. The first one plunked down on top of Tuffie's head as his amazing 76 brings him to within 76 wu's of the first place mucman and causes the mucster's technically advanced underarm anti-perspirant to begin working overtime. The second gaper falls in LiveLongAndProsper's lap as he vehemently vaporizes 93 packets to make up some serious ground from the trailing position. The Plain Old Race to Crunch 1500 still sees the Aquatic White Bird flapping and honking in the lead position, 57 wu's in front of Mighty Micron with Terrible Teriba closing in from behind while Marrkks takes high production honors in the bracket with a neat 22. And in the Race to 750, Dazzling Dave McOwen strengthens his grip on number one, earning a smilie for his 16 while serialb continues to hold onto second and Evaderman tries desperately to close from the third spot.
