Making a mockery of the race coordinator's race predictor (I love it when you people do that! 🙂 ) the Funky Man himself blows the top off his pre-race average to make extremely quick work of the Team AnandTech SETI 500, taking the checkered flag long before anyone expected. To put MoFunk's performance into perspective, the remaining racing stars in this bracket, with the exception of Jumpin' Jwyatt, have yet to cross the half-way point! :Q Congratulations, MoFunk! Head on over to the victory lounge for a little hastily prepared victory celebration. The beer may not be cold yet but the water in the tub is hot and so are the physics babes. Unfortunately they didn't have time to prepare a new lecture for you so they'll just resort to playing that age-old physics game with you in the hottub we all played as children: "Particle, Particle. Who's Got The Particle?". Congrats, MoFunk!

What better way to celebrate your TA-Seti anniversary than with a Seti milestone and a dip in the hottub? ShotgunSteve thinks it's a dandy idea so he will shoot for his second K-Key by August 19th and attempt to answer a question that is on everybody's mind: Can Steve Shoot 2000 WU's by 8/19/2002? We will all watch excitedly as he attempts to achieve that excellent milestone in a little over a month. Good luck, ShotgunSteve!

Captain Phil has managed to repair the upside down inside out plasma flow inductor deducer on the port-side aft starboard phase reversal influx detonator that was causing the USS Phiton's TG drives to sputter like a Fourth of July sparkler. (I left my Starfleet Trans-Galactic Drive engineering manual at home so I had to wing it on that part Phil was trying to fix...) Anyway, the result was a cold-idle to hot-warp engine restart and I'll be dad-gummed if the old USS Phiton didn't manage to hold together as she traveled a marvelous 212 parsecs in the Captain's Crunch to 3000, passing both the USS Guid and the USS Jaws to wind up in the second position only 30 parsecs behind the USS Pazoo. Now the question remains, how long will that piece of chewing gum last that's patching the hole in the inner-outer tritanium lining on the regulator skew mechanism before the whole dasm thing looses structural integrity and there's a mess of drive plasma on the floor?

Why, yes ys had a great day yesterday in DDad's Wonderful Tuff Crabby Ass(imilator) Race to 750. Cruising in the fourth position, ys manages an impressive purge of 30 workunits to lead all racers in his bracket. Minnie Minendo breaks above the 30 wu mark for the first time in a while and the team of Great Danes, Toft / Vold - DK, smash up 76 big wu's as they power their way down the home stretch in The Crunch Bunch Munch to 1500. Lots of excitement in What's 2500 wu's Between Friends? where both Lane42 and cakin are on the prowl, threatening to switch places in the standings with their closest rivals. And I think we're getting an early peek at The Federation's top secret TransWarp AV. Admiral Engineer gave the order and the conduits were charged and the nacelles hummed and glowed as the fleet traversed an astounding 158 parsecs overnight to transwarp into the lead in The Star-Studded Stellar Cluster Crunch to 2500.

Advancements among racers on 7/8 include def up 1 to 38, mucman up 1 to 93, Eltano1 up 1 to 98, minendo up 1 to 114, neovan up 2 to 158, ReaganCRW up 1 to 278, Ammocan up 1 to 144, marrkks up 2 to 316.

Actually, I just got my non-work fleet back to full power so that should add a couple per day but nothing major. Minor work dump coming soon but should be <100. I cut back the quad Xeon to weekends and the occasional after 5pm crunch but it still trucks like a champ when it's running.

Short answer: as some incredibly small quantities of drive plasma have already begun to seep past the upper center shaft seal of the skew mechanism and since the port-side aft starboard phase reversal influx detonator has shorted internally (fried the TG drive windings) and since Star Fleet Command has threatened to can me if I pull another cold-idle to hot-warp restart-----We have decided to just chew that chunk of Wrigleys finest & worry bout structural integrity later..........
Guess we are just going to have to go after the USS Pazoo on impulse power now. 🙁
