After meeting with the Jedi council and explaining his plight to Senator Wife, Dude OhioWalker has been granted the right purchase a hyperdrive booster from Jedi Networkman of Planet Michigan, one of the most respected traders in the galaxy. The force is strong in Jedi Networkman! Dude now anxiously awaits the arrival of the powerful model XP1800+ hyperdrive thrust augmentation system in the hopes that it will at least allow him to delay the arrival of Darth Polo <Darth Polo Music> dum! dum! dum! da-dee-dum! da-dee-dum!... dee! dee! dee! dee-da-dum! da-dee-dum! </Darth Polo Music> at his position on the way to the forest planet at sector 15000. Things aren't looking good for old OhioWalker, though. Soon the Sith Turtle Lord will return from his trek across the galaxy and command all of his death stars to dump and that could spell the end of Dude's racing days.
Mucman, now only 37 wu's from glory in the Race to 6000, glances over his shoulder to find the Miami Man Eltano1 98 wu's to the rear. With his recent excellent average, the Mucster is now pretty well assured a victory, his first in quite some time on SRL tracks. Neovan pauses briefly to catch his breath in Neovan's Scary Halloween Run to 4500 while Tetsuo316 and ReaganCRW pursue their prey steadily from behind. If I were neo, I wouldn't rest too long. LiveLongAndProsper is chewing up the track in the Summer Sizzler to 3500 and he's going to have to do exactly that (sizzle, that is) if he hopes to make his way through the pack. Everyone else has crossed the 3000 wu mark on their way to 3500 but LL&P has yet to even reach the 2K point. But, a betting man would do well to not bet against the rookie, as LL&P's daily average is impressive to day the least.
The USS Phiton's lead in the Captain's Crunch to 3000 was short lived. Even though the repairs to the transwarp guide stems between the TG nacelles are holding up quite nicely, Captain Phil and his crew find themselves being tossed about like a shuttle craft in an ion storm as they ride out the tremendous turbulence caused by the dark matter wake of Captain Pazoo's passing. Covering an astronomical 268 parsecs overnight, the USS Pazoo has transwarped back into the lead. Admiral Engineer and the Federation need to get that Transwarp AV system engaged in a hurry if they plan to achieve their goal of covering 2500 parsecs by August 4th. The galaxy waits in anticipation to see whether or not TA's greatest recruitment officer can pull this one off. WayneS continues to hold the lead in What's 2500 wu's Between Friends? but a tenuous lead it is at that. Knowing full well the explosive history of GreatWhiteNorth, his 37 wu advantage could evaporate in the opening and closing of a NAND gate.
Freewolf and the Migrooster take home smilie awards for their efforts in the 1500 WU Tally Tagger but this race has become the domain of the Liberated Predatory Canid who now prowls less than 100 wu's from the checkered flag. Following his huge dump yesterday, DDad parks his butt in the lounge chair to take a little well deserved rest in DDad's Wonderful Tuff Crabby Ass(imilator) Race to 750 where Tuffie has opened up a 36 wu lead ahead of the Guildford Gentleman who's production numbers have dropped off considerably the last several days. Could Assimlator1 be employing the old standby "Dupe 'n Dump" maneuver? What was a single digit lead for Adul over Fingers yesterday has grown to a three wu lead today in The Other Team AnandTech SETI 500. Audacious Adul and Flying Fingers are staging quite a battle in this 500 wu contest. And Jumpin' Jwyatt has rounded the final turn in the Team AnandTech SETI 500 and now cruises only 15 wu's from a victory.
