Let's welcome a new racer to the TeamAnandtech SETI 1000. Jwyatt debuts at number 224 among TeAmers with 488 wu's submitted to date. Welcome to the Seti Racing League, Jwyatt!
Hoping to reach the 1000 mark by Friday, Ai3x has started his run in the Race to 1000! This is going to be exciting to watch as he needs to average 100 wu's per day over the next five days. Can he back up his claim? The Seti racing world waits breathlessly!
In the Race to 5000, the Tortoise has settled back into his plodding pace but I heard a rumor that Polo might be starting the turtle on a vitamin regimen in the form of some new assimilations that will improve his speed in the turns. Meanwhile, the Hare (Ben) continues his excellent daily production rate as he keeps his sights set on the 5000 wu goal.
The USS Ohio ran into a bit of trouble over the weekend. Choosing to fly through the Antares Nebula instead of plotting a course around it, the ship encountered a number of VLAR wu's in it's path. As a result, OD had to drop out of warp and cruise at only 3/4 impulse. This could be a costly mistake, as the USS Phiton was able to gain precious parsects on the leader.
The Race to 2000 sees cakin continue to increase his lead over Fardringle closing to within 107 wu's of the finish line and stretching his lead to 37 over his nearest competitor. Now would definitely be the time to challenge Ray to a race as his ride has developed some serious engine trouble. Come on Ray, let's get it moving again. The TeAm needs you!
Doomer isn't looking back after crossing the 1000 mark on his way to 1500, but Toft appears to have hit a little rough spot on the track. Don't let Doomer get too far ahead, Toft! I have a feeling we're going to see a rather large dump from Toft's camp in a little while.
Lots of advancements among racers on 7/15: IBHacknU up one to 39, Maku up two to 74, cakin up one to 89, Doomer up two to 144, Baldy18 up one to 170, IcecreamLtDan up one to 210, Swanny up one to 226, and Ai3x up a startling 25 positions to jump from 241st place all the way up to number 216!
