Lots of excitement in Another Race to 4000! The Wolf rounded the final turn and entered the final stretch expecting to see Panhead49 directly ahead and ripe to be passed. Instead, he found a cloud of smoke where Panhead should have been based on the Wolfster's production predictions and caught a glimpse of the streaking Skillet Noggin zooming towards the finish line, with only seven more wu's to go to the checkered flag! The crowd is on its collective feet, stompin' and hollerin', thilled with the excitement that only a neck and neck SETI milestone race can give! One more day of racing from this pair will determine which of these two gets to lounge in the hottub with the babes and which one has to clean the tub after the others are finished celebrating. I can't stand the excitement!
The Race to 6000 is beginning to take on the looks of a crowd pleaser as well. His comfortable lead dwindling at a steady pace, the Mucster needs to stay on his toes because there's a streaking Miami Man only 125 wu's behind and a honking, flapping Swanny only 17 behind him. The Long Island Rocker has managed to pass the British Bulldog Tag Team Tandem and is now beginning to stretch out his lead in Another race to 6000. A strong burst by the British Pair only weeks ago sent them soaring to a huge lead, but persistance and perserverance has paid off for Ledzepp98. Neovan makes a nice run of 35 wu's in his singular mission to crack 4500 by Spooky Day and ReaganCRW smokes off 21 packets in his race with Tetsuo316 in the 4500 WU Christmas Challenge.
With Super Sukhoi off globe trotting for the next two weeks, I would tend to wager that we'll see a lead change in the Summer Sizzler to 3500 quite soon. Ishmael2k is bearing down hard, only 37 wu's to the rear and Maggotry cruises smoothly at wu marker 3077. ShotgunSteve has fired a single wu from his wu gun in his challenge to reach 2000 by 8/19. Let's hope he's loading up for some double-barreled action in the near future. The Jumping Bean has his leaps back in a big way in the Clash of the Super WU Poopers! I could devote a whole day's worth of commentary just to this race and its magnificent participants, but one pugilist stands out from the crowd today and that's the Assassin. Managing a prodigious power purge amounting to 182 wu's, SoulAssassin brings the fans to their feet by moving up an unbelievable six positions, taking up residence in the number three spot only 20 wu's behind Admiral Engineer and the Federation.
