Check out IJump's excellent race prediction analysis.
Lots of race winners and short on time so let's get right to it.
JW.Middleton, fresh out of the repair shop after a major powerplant overhaul, jumped right back into the racing circuit to prove to everybody that he is anything but washed up. Issuing himself a challenge to sprint to 35,000 by the end of May, JWM turned on the power, and despite heat, humidity, and ground fault interruptions, cranked out an average of over 80 wu's per day during his Heat Attack Sprint to 35k by 6/1. Quite an accomplishment for the long time TA veteran, who also climbed into the TA top 10 as well as being chosen the SETI@Home User of the Day during his return to racing. The PhD race babes are waitin' in the hottub and looking forward to another exciting round of their favorite game, "Anti-Particle, Anti-Particle. Whose got the Anti-Particle" with JW. Congratulations, JWM! I hope carrying around 35 golden K-Keys isn't too much of a strain on the old ticker.
After having been passed yesterday by a streaking Jumping Bean, Major Tom ordered full power to the dump jets and streamed across the finish line in The Great 10K CountDown to become the 51st AnandTecher to locate the Holy Grail of Seti milestones at 10K. Still in search of that elusive Team Top 50 berth he so desires, Tarca is able to sit back for a day or two and savor this great moment in his Seti career, the magical mystical morph from four digits to five. It's amazing to consider that only months ago, Major Tom had yet to crunch his 3000th workunit. Today he stands atop the pinnacle of Seti crunch-dom at 10K. Congratulations, Tarca! The 10K babes are waiting in the hottub with a nice cold pint o' Guinness.
Joining our star-studded lineup of race winners this morning is the final racer in the The Mid-Major Crunch to 2500 with a Handicapped NWM, SoulAssassin who finally makes it across the finish line to the raucus cheers from the crowd who, true to TA-Seti tradition, has stuck around to cheer on every last racer, regardless of who their racing idol is. SoulAssassin closes out the racing bracket and thrills the fans with an impressive dump of 175 workunits, temporarily overloading the tracks wu cartridge ejector systems, since this racing venue was only designed to support Mid-Major crunchers in the 50 to 100 wu range, but we'll send you the bill for the repairs. You can join the other Mid-Major racers who are still partying down in the tally lounge for a brewski and a little dip in the hottub. Congratulations, SoulAssassin!
Rounding out the winner's circle this morning is none other than our beloved Biloxi Bomber and his stellar army of crunchers as they cross the 3000 wu tally marker in the Race to Crunch 3000 with a Clobbered Pie. Marching much of the race in double-quick, Smokie's little rag-tag army gave the rest of us observers a lesson in fortitude, endurance, and determinaton, rarely dropping below the 100 wu daily tally. They are a fine, fine group of dedicated crunchers that few Seti teams are priviledged to count among their numbers. So, we've opened up the race coordinator's lounge with the Olympic size hottub where your army can come in, empty the sand from their boots and rest and relax before taking on the next milestone marker. Along with the race babes, since ladies make up part of your army, we've recruited a world renowned troop of male dancers for their enjoyment. Unfortunately, the Chippendale dancers were all booked up, but we located a dance troop called Rowdy Ray's Racy Roundup. (Just tell them to try and ignore the old guy with the cane zipping around on the scooter twirling his shirt over his head...) Congratulations, Smoke!
Advancements among racers on 5/28 include Tarca up 1 to 51, Baldy18 up 1 to 64, PhotoLenny up 1 to 127, ICXRa up 5 to 144, Freewolf up 7 to 178, bbarnes up 1 to 130, Nemur up 2 to 162, pyxis up 1 to 166, frglss up 2 to 433, Maku up 1 to 102, Karsten up 1 to 112, neovan up 5 to 179, Bleep up 1 to 195.
