In The Great 10K CountDown, the Malaysian Man, the human tidal wave, the fancy flooder, the human hocker, DroolMAN! lets loose a torrent of wu's numbering in excess of 100 to wash his nemesis, crt1530 right off the track to take the lead by two. With less than 100 to go in this gulleywasher and with the players involved, it could end tomorrow, or it could end Thursday. But one thing is for certain... It will end in a slurry and flurry of sloppy workunits whenever the Dribble Dude is involved. Race watchers along the home stretch have donned their rain coats and rain bonnets, and some have even brought out the hip waders in preparation for what will most definitely be an exciting, albeit slobbery, finish between these two racers who have duked and ducked with each other since the beginning of their TA-Seti careers. Oh, what a thiller we're in for in the next couple of days!
Today is the official beginning of Turtle Wars: Episode II. The Tortoise Strikes Back at 15K. Displeased with the outcome at 13K, Captain Polo, the latest in the long line of incredibly dashing and daring French starfleet captains, has issued the bold and daring declaration to Captain OD that he will kick a little Ohio tail when the two manage to navigate to the ice planet orbiting the white dwarf star Omi Ceti B in the Haut system near sector marker 15K. But Captain OD may have a little suprise up his Jeffries Tube for the Turtle. The engineering crew is working overtime on a drive plasma booster powered by the radioactive decay from quad banks of Xeon MP material. Once that baby is installed in the warp core, hold on to your French beret, Turtle Dude!
In the Race to 7000, the Sinister Oscillator is wobblin' mighty close to the Crab. Now less than 300 wu's to the rear, it may be time for Elfie to break out that secret weapon everybody knows he has hidden in the closet just for such special occasions. The mucster earns a smilie with 16 in the Race to 6000 as he turns and offers a snear to the rear at his competitors. Wirelessenabled keeps beating feet in the Wireless Dazzler to 4000, having pulled to within 108 wu's of the front-running Dazzler. What an absolute model of consistency the Biloxi Bomber has been throughout the Race to Crunch 3000 with a Clobbered Pie. Drill Sergeant Smoke has his troops so well trained in the art of the precision crunch that they are an absolute joy and a pleasure to watch.
Team Tofter/Volder has slowed their torid pace now that they have bolted to a 58 wu lead in The Crunch Bunch Munch to 1500. From his seat aboard the overclocked fire engine red Rascal Rider, Rowdy Ray is obviously a little bit peaved at having to eat the Great Danes' dust. It's hard enough for the Old Geezer to catch his breath without having to inhale track dirt and noxious wu exhaust. Mid-20's consistency has been the motto for the Raymeister to date, but it might be wise to pay a little bit of attention to the rear where Innuendo Minendo begins to claw back towards the front, now only 26 wu's to the Rascal Rider's rear. The two remaining racers in The M & M Boys & Some Others Race to Crunch 1000 are putting on a little show of their own. Crabby is snapping his scary pincers furiously as he realizes that an 80 wu deficit to the migrooster is not too far out of reach, especially if he can find that secret weapon we spoke of earlier.
