There is much celebration and rejoicing in the Kewl Kamp this morning as they have the big Crab cornered. The water is boiling and the garlic butter is all ready for dipping as m2kewl is about to feast on some succulent Alaskan King Crab legs. Overtaking ElFenix near mile marker 6250, m2kewl earns his race victory after hounding the crab for several months. For ElFenix, the crab earns a well deserved belly tickled for holding off the Kewl Dude for as long as he could, raising his daily average by at least 10 wu's into the high teens. Congratulations, m2kewl! We'll let you rent out the race official's lounge for a little victory party, complete with the babes, hottub, and some brewski's to go along with those steamed crab legs.
In the Race to Crunch 1000 with a Crazee Twist, we have a tie for second place. Yesterday, the number three position was forcefully snatched back by the EvaderMan but the morning sun dawns with Evadman now staring at the migrooster's rump from the fourth position. The powerful purge from our friendly Brit pulls him into a virtual tie at 817 with Mighty Micron for the second spot. Only 20 wu's ahead, IcecreamLtDan glances nervously in the rear-view mirror and turns the thermostat down another couple of degrees to keep his ice cream from melting in the searing heat of competition that draws closer every day from behind. In The M & M Boys & Some Others Race to Crunch 1000, minendo's lead has shrunk to only four wu's over Freewolf, whose 30 spot earns him high production honors in his bracket.
A couple of monster dumps rattle the track in The Great 10K CountDown where SoulAssassin must have eaten something that really gave him the scoots. Letting fly with a 131 wu purge, the Assassin now finds himself only 500 wu's of becoming the 46th AnandTecher to cross the magical 10K barrier. A little further back in the pack, our good friend Droolie spits out an unbelievably large hocker consisting of 343 workunits to storm across the 9000 wu barrier and wash poor ZeroEffect right off the track in the process. Speaking of mega-dumps, Captain Polo had the Trans-Turtle Drives engaged overnight and nearly managed to exceed the 200 parsec per day theoretical design limitation of his experimental scout vessel as he desperately tries to run down the USS Ohio in the Race to Outpost 13K. Seldom has a vessel of this type covered such distances and remained intact without having found a stable wormhole to travel through. Our dashing French Captain Polo is showing why he proudly wears the four pips of a Starfleet captain.
