This morning, one of TA-Seti's most respected veterans crosses the finish line in the The Mid-Major Crunch to 2500 with a Handicapped NWM and it is none other than the race's namesake, networkman. Despite racing with a double handicap, NWM still manages to cross the finish line well ahead of many racers. If you recall, we had to break one of NWM's legs before the race started to give the other racers a chance. Then, part way through the race, we broke his other leg and tweeked him in the nose for good measure and when conjur crossed the finish line, race results proved that had we not tweeked his nose, networkman probably would have taken the first victory kudos in this large crunch-a-thon that set the record for race participation. No matter, because the party still goes on whether you cross first or last. Plenty of beer in the fridge and fresh warm water in the hotub and the physics babes are really looking forward to your visit because they're setting up a LAN between their dressing rooms and they have some cable attenuation questions for you. Congratulations, networkman!
Captain OD reaches outpost 13K only to find that there is no party for him. Only more orders. This time to proceed to outpost 15K. But, to avoid having his crew mutiny, Captain OD breaks out the Romulan Ale (real, not replicated) and the Klingon dancing girls. Now, Klingon females wearing thongs isn't exactly my cup of tea either, but we're a long way from civilization and we have to make do with what we've got. :Q Anyway, it would appear that Captain Polo has just about got the kinks worked out of the trans-turtle drives on the USS Tortoise and Starfleet is dying to put the scout vessel through its paces. Besides, Captain Polo would like another crack at Captain OD who hails the Tortoise and waves (using all of his fingers) to the dashing French captain. So tune in tomorrow for the start of "Turtle Wars: Episode II. The Tortoise Strikes Back!".
