Another Race to 8000 comes to a close this morning with crt1530 able to hold off the roaring flood waters from the Dribbler. Unfortunately for Droolie, it would appear that instead of opening the remainng flood gates, he accidentally closed all the gates, thus completely stopping the flow of wu's at the critical point in the race. Regardless of the outcome, the Slobber Guy made an absolutely thrilling run, cruising his way impressively throughout the race to make a game of it at the end. For crt1530, it was an absolutely masterful example of consistency and fortitude in the face of one of the SRL's most formidable race foes. Now it's time to pick up your 8th golden K-Key and head right on in to the luxuriously appointed 8K lounge and engage in stimulating conversations regarding particle physics and quantum mechanics with our learned race babes whilst partaking of winner's beer and relaxing waves of warm water in the victor's hottub. Congratulations crt, and kudos also to everyone's favorite dribbler, DroolMAN!.
IJump matches yesterday's triple fence posts with an identical set of vertical sticks today. When I said yesterday that 111 will need to be the Jumping Bean's new average to gain significant ground on the furiously frolicking Big Dawg, I didn't believe he'd take me so literally. But by the looks of things, IJump had best be looking for a few more wu's per day because the big howling Hound Dog keeps creeping close and closer to that magical 100 wu per day mark. I don't know how he's doing it, but keep bringin' it on, Dawgie! Meanwhile, Captain Scott keeps his souped up science vessel on course and is taking full advantage of the recent malaise that's befallen his racing partner, Captain Poopsie as the two rival Starfleet captains continue their quest for more space racing glory at the abandoned outpost at FarPoint station. The last week has seen the USS Guid gain back considerable ground on the suddenly sputtering USS Poop.
The Race to Crunch 1000 with a Crazee Twist is the scene of some dramatic action as the race sees not one, but two new leaders emerge after yesterday's furious action. This morning's glorious sunshine shone brightly on the terrific team of Danes known as the Tofters and Volders in the lead of this crazee twisted crunch fest to 1000. But not to be out done, Fardy inundated Berkeley's wu port with 49 big ones to greet the morning sun side-by-side with Team Toft-Vold, 20 wu's on the other side of the half-way point in this exciting race. Meanwhile, at the back of the pack the Crazee Twister begins today just shy of positive integers after crunching an even 50 to land eight wu's from devouring the remainder of the pre-race stagger. To point out an amazing feat of race handicapping by our race coordinator ConfusedBW, just as Crazee reaches the break-even point, our two co-leaders have reached the half-way mark in the race. Good forecasting job, CBW!
A smilie for the Crabby One but double shockies for the Kewl One in the Kewl and Crabby Race to 6000. m2kewl pounded the strike zone to the tune of 129 wu's, gaining celebrity status for at least one day by crunching like a titan. Tarca blisters the track with 62 in Two Borgies and a Cardy Racing to 8000, a race that has lost it's competitive underpinnings since the Cardy has flat-lined and Slahr Dzhe has been required to retire much of his fleet. The good ol' powder blue El Camino keeps makin' up the ground on zappin' Zod in the Race to 10,000. Out-gunning the Sheriff for the day by 20 in a wu duel, the defster has maneuvered his muscle car to within 146 wu's of the 10K leader.
