With exactly one month yet to go before June 1st, the pressure rests squarely on the shoulders of our June bride deadline racers, networkman and migroo. Leaving a trail of cat-5 cable and RJ-45 connectors behind him, NWM appears to be well on his way to reaching his 22,000 goal by 6-1. Using his vast home fleet to heat his house from the basement, 70+ dailies have become the norm for the friendly Michigander, allowing him to absolutely smoke his original goal of 20,000 nearly a week ago. The story is a little different for migroo, the British gentleman. He struggled early, mechanical and logistics problems plaguing his fleet, causing lower than projected totals. But smooth power has been at his command as of late, bringing that lofty 2000 wu June 1 goal within reach. It'll be a tight one, but the migrooster has the whole team rooting for him.
The Dazzler smacks nine wu's upside the head to bring his fleet to within 85 wu's of the gold in the May 11th Date at 3000. At the opposite end of the pack, wirelessenabled is putting on a strong showing, with 37 wu's crumpled up into little tiny numerical balls and rolled towards Berkeley's wu dumpster, eliciting a collective gasp from the race faithful. Also impressing the judges for the second day in a row is the pafster in the Race to 6000, a big 30 spot sliding deftly down the wu chute. "Somebody shut that Dawg up!", shouts IJump after the big 167 wu bomb from BigWoofer got the little doggie all excited. Hopping around and barking like a young pup, the Big Dawg is obviously happy with today's results from Berkeley's stats machine.
Plenty of excitement happenin' in Race to Crunch 1000 with a Crazee Twist where the battle for second place is a great one between Mighty Micron and the migrooster after the latter hands the EvaderMan a little helping of fourth place. This morning (in the US) dawns with the pugilistic pair all knotted at 782, only 21 wu's from melting a little Icecream. But at 778, Evadman is far from out of it, nor is the Chilly Digit at 750. conjur is simply manhandling the competition in The Mid-Major Crunch to 2500 with a Handicapped NWM as today's 74 attests. Even though networkman is only eight wu's from hopping up another position, soni is making that task a bit more difficult than NWM had expected. While not quite enough to cause the ladies to rip off their shirts as they did a week ago, the 52 from the Great Dane and TA-Seti stats master, does have his substantial following smiling and knodding approvingly.
