Two more racers cross the finish lines in their respective races this morning to earn a little piece of Seti racing glory. Starting with the Race to 3000, m2kewl tops off his amazing power ramp up with a neat little 65 wu run to propel his rear across the line to earn his first victory on the storied SRL race tracks. Starting the race well back in the pack, 2kewl nearly managed to assimilate enough machinery to enter his name amongst the ranks of the TA-Seti titans. On several occasions, the rookie flirted with the magical century daily production mark, the true gauge of a titan. Congratulations on the victory, m2kewl and welcome to the TA-Seti Wall of Fame.
Our second winner this morning hails from the great state of Texas and is none other than that long-time race veteran the Texas Two-Stepper, Boogak who takes the checkered flag in the Quickie to 1500 to earn a little more face time on the Winner Wall. Even though Boogie Woogie is the last of the original members of the Quickie team to cross the finish line, he still earns the same kudos and congrats and admiration of his teammates had he crossed first. The brief stop over at 1500, the final way point between K's one and two, allows the racer to catch his breath and mentally prepare himself for the longer distances between milestones that the SRL mandates after one has earned their second K Key at the 2K milestone marker. Congratulations on the milestone, Boogak!
Some of our new races that began a couple of days ago include a personal challenge by IJump. To celebrate his 2 year anniversary, the Jumping Bean has issued himself a bold challenge, a challenge to join the TA-Seti Titandom by reaching the lofty goal of 15,000 wu's by June 26th. Seeing that Jump's currently tally rests at slightly over 2100, that's 13 more K-Key's he plans to have jangling from his Seti key ring in slightly over three months! Quite a lofty challenge, I'd say. We also welcome back an old friend to the active circuit. The Sheriff of Labville saddles up his mount and joins the three challengers running towards the 10,000 wu Holy Grail. Zappin Zod settles into first place in the Race to 10,000, 166 wu's ahead of the rogue racer in the El Camino. Just when the defster thought he had a clear road ahead to 10k, somebody else drops into the fray to kick up a little dust in his face.
Captains Skoopa and Scott re-enter their fine crews into active duty as they team up to produce their own version of Encounter at Farpoint. Racing to the adandoned distant outpost at sector 16,000, a place where few humans stop on their journies to the more popular outpost destinations, Farpoint is far from the resort outpost it used to be. With reports of many establishments having been ransacked and vandalized by rogue Klingons and Casdassian gangs escaped from Federation prisons, Farpoint is a less than desireable destination for any civilized humanoid race. Captain Skoopa begins the race by placing a few additional light years between the USS Poop and the Crusher Class science vessel, the USS Guid, but rumors abound that Captain Scott has upgraded his vessel's warp core shielding allowing him to use enriched dilithium in the warp core. Early reports say that the USS Guid has nearly doubled her top speed and may give Poopsie a little more than he bargained for.
