Two more SRL crunchers make the cross over this morning to join the ranks of champions and earn a few fleeting moments of fame in the hallowed list of the 10 Most Recent Race Winners. The first racer on today's docket is no stranger to the land of Seti racing fame. He began his racing career long ago, racing solo against the likes of Smokeball and Rowdy Ray to milestones that are now just a distant memory: 250, 500, 1000. This morning, Toft earns his fourth gilded key to the wondrous land of K-Klubs, where the beer is cold , the water warm, and the babes lovely. The Great Dane once again earns some time with his name in lights on the SRL walk of fame after crossing over the 4000 wu mark. Congratulations, Toft!
Our second champion this morning is at the other end of the spectrum in terms of racing experience. He is rookie in the Seti Racing League, a young pup who saw his first challenge and rose to meet it courageously and enthusiastically. This morning it is micron's turn to shine along with the sun as he makes the transformation from three digits to four-digit bliss. Coming up only a day short of taking the checkered flag first in his bracket, micron still earns the kudos and respect of his peers for a gallant charge, side-stepping fermenting piles of cracked and broken workunits left by the Portly Bovine to make a daring dash for Seti glory. Congratulations, micron and welcome to the K-Klubs.
The Race to 8000 continues to be full of action and jaw-dropping suprises. A huge day from Admiral Engineer that saw the Federation slug 64 packets is answered in earnest by Rowdy Ray and the TWTA bus who clobber 77, getting perilously close to that century daily mark. The astounding affirmation of power allows the Rowdy One on the Rascal Rider enough time to turn and thumb his nose briefly at his pursuers. Fardy vs the Cardy - Part Deux sees the Ute shine with 37. Although one fewer than his lizard-like competition, the power surge stops the bleeding for the time being and gives the Cardassian momentary pause to ponder whether it may be time to begin initiating his new crew to the finer points of matter/anti-matter injector calibration.
Slahr Dzhe storms his bracket with a monster-like 48. Although Mad Max and Dribbles may be out of reach at this point, steamed crab legs seem to be a distinct possiblilty in the not-so-distant future as SD reaches the half-way point to 10,000. Pabster is mounting an all-out charge in his attempt to catch the streaking Electrode before he has a chance to capture the prize in the Free-For-All to 3000 and KCJeeper appears to have full power restored as he matches his powerful pursuers in the Race to 3000 tit-for-tat. Emos nearly doubles his production in the YART 1500 while motoring his way to within 50 wu's of another milestone and ShotgunSteve crunches an impressive 15 to extend his lead to 13 over Avenger01 in the Fabulous February 1500.
Neovan asks for the attention of the racing public with a big 26 as he tries mightily to catch Logix in time in the Race to 1400. Logix's starburst dump in the early going of this shin-dig may have made that task nearly impossible, though. Terrible Teriba has rounded the final turn and is charing towards the checkered-flag waving babe in the Team AndndTech SETI 500 ahead of Jerboy who lithly purges 19 wu's to wow the crowd and Time2Kill takes over for conjur as the heavyweight in the Race to Crunch 1000, filling in admirably ahead of migroo who unfortunately ponders Seti retirement.
