Three more trophies are handed out this morning in various SRL venues. First to the Race to 7000 where ZeroEffect may be the final racer on the track, but he crosses the finish line first in the hearts of many Seti racing purists. Also known as Moe, the Big Effect uses a racing style that is typically old school, head down, rigs screaming at their peak efficiency each and every day. Consistency is the mantle of this type of racer and Moe embodies that racing style to it's fullest. Congratulations on the milestone, Moe. 7000 is quite an achievement and we have the special brew and hottub babes waiting in the 7K lounge to prove it.
The Huge Heifer gallops his way to the end point in what was a heated and thrilling spectacle down on the SETI 1000 racing oval. BigFatCow outlasts the young rookie micron who's valiant charge over the last two weeks falls just short of overtaking the Portly Bovine at the wire. BFC essentially put the race away with two suprisingly aromatic cow paddies at just the right time and place to allow him to take the checkered flag with a 27 wu lead. A big-time hearty welcome to quadruple digits as well. Just for you, we've got a trough full of beer and a big bucket of oats in the 1K lounge. Congratulations, BFC!
Our final victor this morning is in the Race to Crunch 1000. Conjur established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the Crunch Biltz style of racing with his impressive, nearly wire to wire victory in the first ever running of the Race to Crunch 1000. Had it not been for the meteor known as IndyJaws who entered the race for a couple of days and is now nearly ready to cross the 10,000 wu mark, conjur would have lead this race from beginning to end. Congratulations, conjur. May this be the first of many victories in the Seti Racing League.
With a euphoric look of relief on his little reptillian face, Polo's little tortoise cuts loose with another enormous turtle dump of 203 cracked up workunits to land only 133 workunits from his goal. With one complete week to go to his self-imposed deadline, the little reptile seems to have a smile on his face as the 10K holy grail appears to be well within his grasp. Many along the race track have dropped their bowls and spoons in bitter disappointment as they will apparently have to go elsewhere to get their bowl of turtle soup. Rowdy Ray and Admiral Engineer are locked in quite a duel at the front of the pack racing to 8000. Ray, hunched low over the handle bars of his red Rascal Rider, has a look of fierce determination on his face as he attempts to maintain the TWTA bus' dwindling lead while Sheriff Zod is absolutely livid at the behaviour of the kids in Labville.
Gotta run! All the Lonely Racers are having a big party down there at the bottom of the race thread. :Q This weekend I'll do some advance scouting and try to drum up a little competition.
