With Berkeley Bursitis reaching nearly epidemic proportions, nearly every racer's production has slowed to a crawl with several notable exceptions. One lonely racer, Captain Skoopa of the starship Poop continues on his merry way, submitting and retrieving wu's at nearly the same rate as during Berkeley's pre-bandwidth challenged days. Everyone wants to know, Poopsie... How are you managing to maintain your smilie-per-day pace? :Q
Some racers appear to be more severely mauled by this insidious case of Transmission Trauma than others. Take our British Bud Migroo, for example. After issuing himself the lofty challenge of reaching the 2K milestone by June 1st only days ago, the infliction, seemingly singling him out, has caused him to produce exactly zero wu's since. The 3000 WU Romp has turned into an afternoon nap for JimMc with Berkeley's cold finger pointing directly at his rigs and proclaiming that he shall not submit wu's on this day. Although despite the constricted wu pipe at Seti at Home's digs, the Big Dawg runs up 15, seemingly taking advantage of JimMc's troubles to advance on his position, now only 41 wu's ahead.
Gul Dukat manages to squeeze 50 workunits down that ever narrowing wu-way after loudly proclaiming his displeasure. Rumor has it that he may have struck a rather shady alliance with not only the Dominion, but the Romulans as well to smuggle his cracked packets through Berkeley's back door. Meanwhile, his partner in Fardy vs the Cardy - Part Deux submits exactly zero wu's, but Fardy may have temporarily donated his processing power to the Winter Olympics that are taking place nearly in his back yard. KCjeeper also continues on as if his connection to the Berkeley servers were still on-line and healthy, producing twenty while the three heavy hitters trying to catch the Jeep Man suffer sub-par submissions yet again.
Neovan chops off 33 workunits, making mucho-progress in his two separate racing venues. The nice 30-plus run lands him only two wu's behind the struggling Logix who looked to have the Race to 1400 all wrapped up in festive wrapping paper and a large pretty bow only days ago. lane42 surges forward 30, obviously finding a cracked packet tributary wide enough to handle his submissions for the day in the Race to 10,000, but one race that has been most severely inflicted is the Race to Crunch 1000 where all three combatants have literally stalled out on the track.
