Lots happenin' in the SRL, today!
First off, lets take a gander at the Race to 9000 where Rowdy Ray is stirring up the wu dust. Pulling every cane out of his holster as he motored around mucman, Rowdy Ray sent volley after volley of cane carnage at the poor Canadian. Fortunately for Muckity Mucman, his SRL issue gas mask was tightly fastened to his face and his whack armor held up quite nicely to the onslaught being delivered from the seat of the red Rascal Rider. But there is an unfortunate side to the story for Muckie's fans as well. SRL scientists and engineers are still trying to develop a defense against the Cane of Tickle but we're still quite a ways off from developing reliable armor. Giggling uncontrollably from the pilot's seat of his rig, Mucman steamed up the inside of his SRL issue gas mask, lost sight of the track guide markers and relinquished control of his vehicle to the forces of nature, hurtling his mass of munching machinery right into the wu gutters lining the track. As Rowdy Ray scooted passed, the red Rascal Rider's little overclocked engine screaming like a banshee, Mucman could do little more than shake a clenched fist at Ray's receding behind as he struggled to restart his rig. For the Rowdy One, his next victim is Tuffie, cruising 231 wu's ahead, which should give him plenty of time to dream up a clever new pass plan.
After seeing his number one standing snatched from his fists by Jumpin' Jatwell yesterday in the 2000 WU Packet Blaster, Mighty Micron shows the rookie that a Master Class Seti racer is still king of the track. Feeding 65 workunits to the caged monster Micron calls his fleet, the young Nebraska Cornhusker powered his way back into first place, smiling as the wu dust from the pulverized workunits kicked up a thick fog behind him, making Jumpin' Jatwell's road that much more difficult to navigate. Meanwhile, Sizzlin' Soni keeps his momentum moving forward with another day over the 50 mark, expanding his lead to 40 over ReaganCRW. Still chewing up the stagger from the trailing position, the Sinister Oscillator smashes 76, cutting his negative deficit to 180.
LyNx01 takes high production honors with 24 in the 1000 Workunit Blitz, pulling to within 7 of Awesome Artie who still has the lead. Meanwhile, the trailing racer in the pack, BigFatCow appears to be saving up for a big fat dump. When that happens, crt and Magnificent Maggotry had best have the cow paddie protectors working at peak efficiency. Yielder and Captain CAD earn nice big smilies from the judges this morning for their excellent work in Snap! Crackle! Pop! 3000 WU's for Breakfast. Both racers seem to have enganged their turbo-crackers as of late and are making up considerable ground on the rogue racer def. The master of the "Queue Tinkle Powie!" technique has struck again in The Century Stud Stomp to 5000. Employing their trademark queue busting purgement process, Team Pazoo earns a triple shockie for a monstrous 580 wu dump that vaults them from last place into third, leaving Captain Kewlie, Lanner Manner and Crazee breathing packet powder.
Advancements among racers on 10/19 include Rebel Alliance up 1 to 76, Karsten up 1 to 79, GolfGeek up 2 to 84, Rowdy Ray up 1 to 88, dmcowen up 3 to 366.
