The Biloxi Bomber and his army continue their century plus daily marches, closing in steadily on Izzy's position. Just a little over one more day should bring the two rival camps close enough to being skirmishing. Of course that is provided that Captain Izzy decides to hang around long enough to let Smokie catch him. I have a sneaking suspicion that his cargo bays are more than likely stretched to the point of bursting with cached wu's just waiting to be released. Hopefully, his ship can withstand the explosive decompression that's bound to occur when the cargo bay doors are finally opened. Hopefully, Berkeley can withstand it, too.
Networkman continues his solo run towards 15,000, besting the 60 mark for yet another day and Polo's little turtle is running as fast as his little reptilian legs can carry him towards 10,000. With only 17 days to go and over 600 wu's to crunch and dump, the poor little turtle looks to be mighty nervous. Zappin' Zod is consistently back over the 40 wu mark after laying down the law in the computer lab after threatening to outlaw Counter Strike on the lab's computers in the Race to 8000. However, in hot pursuit is Admiral Engineer and the Federation who best the Sheriff by one and draw to within 39 wu's of ruining Zod's attitude.
In Another Race to 6000, the Slobber Guy is still riding the crest of his last wave of drool, maintaining a 60 plus daily pace and zeroing in on Mad Max whose production remains at twenty and above. The 4500 wu Sprint is the scene of some furious action as the good ambassador Baldy18 tries desperately to hold off the hard charging Tarca who continues to astound the race crowd with his consistently stellar production. Jumping down to Another Race to 2500, EvilWobbles knocks DarkMajiq off the track as he oscillates by with a big 34, setting his sights next on Serialb who is sequentially transmitting just 28 wu's ahead. Padding his lead in front of the pack, JimMc crunches 20 and pulls his fleet inside 100 wu's to go for a victory. It'll take a monumental effort from Wobbs to catch the Mc Man before he captures the crown in this contest.
The scenario that Domination needs in order to capture the Race to 2000 has played itself out in the stats this morning. Out-producing the three front-runners by a large margin, Dom crunches inside 200 of quadruple digits, cutting a large chunk of distance off the pre-race stagger. Micron is impressive for yet another day, nearing 20 and making a concerted run at BigFatCow in the AnandTech SETI 1000. This should be a very exciting finish between the top two racers. With the pedal to the metal, Zeruty leads the pack in the AnandTech SETI 500 with a big 16, crunching hard to catch teriba who cruises only 70 wu's from the checkered flag and conjur continues to dominate in the Race to Crunch 1000, yesterday managing to grind up 44 workunits between his teeth.
