Four races draw to a close this morning which means four racers reach milestones, and two new rookies join the racing circuit in a classic contest. Traveling down the list of SRL events we come first to the spectacular Another Race to 2000 that enthralled Seti crowds the world over with it's thrills and spills. The third and final racer among the terrific trio of JimMc, DarkMajiq, and serialb motors across the finish line a single day after his competitors and now enjoys the celebratory sody pop and hottub dip inside the gloriously appointed 2K-Klub with his fellow champions. Congratulations on the milestone serialb, and thanks again for the thrilling show you and your racing compadres staged for the rest of us. You guys rock!

Sliding down two races, the YART 1500 crowns it's first champion among the three E-migos as Eltano1, the Man from Miami, puts his newest charges to good use, turning a tight battle with Evadman into a comfortable stroll in the park. Turning in an astounding 43 wu's, Eltano1 screams across the finish line in impressive fashion, earning his first victory on SRL tracks and reaching the halfway point between his first two K-Klub keys. The man from Miami's early races were frought with mechanical troubles, enough to cause even the most competitive among us to retire from the racing circuit. But through perseverance and technical saavy, and a good eye for assimilation possibilities, Eltano1 now stands on the victor's stand a champion. Congratulations, Eltano1!

Moving down the chart another notch to the Race to 1500, the Jeeper from KC motors towards his first SRL victory in his first attempt. The rookie from KC was in control of this contest from the get-go, never wavering from his single-minded goal of winning his first race, and he did so in impressive fashion, never dropping into single digits throughout the entire length of the course. Congratulations, KCJeeper! Now everybody understands what you mean when you say, "It's a Jeep thing." Congratulations also to your gallant competitor, Panhead49!

Our final awards ceremony this morning takes place at the entrance to what many people consider Seti Holy Land, the first K-Klub, perhaps one of the single most thrilling achievements in all of Seti-dom. The day you graduate from three digits into four is a day few crunchers forget. On that day we earned our first golden K-Key. On that day we first tasted the sweet nectar of victory beer from the championship fridge and lowered our tired and beaten bodies into the glorious warmth of the gilded hottub for the first time. On that day we stared across the soothing waters at the lovely faces of the Seti race babes. (Although several unfortunates saw that sneaky Ray, instead.) On that day, we became men (and women). On that day... we reached 1000... *sigh* That is what r0tt3n1 will experience today. Congratulations, r0tt3n1, and welcome to the K-Klubs!

Speaking of reaching 1000, say hello to two brand spanking new rookies this morning as they begin their arduous journey to Seti promised land. Kicking off another running of the Team AnandTech SETI 1000, are longtime TA member and devoted forum participant Micron and the promising young cruncher frglss. I'd also like to welcome a brand new racer and TA member who asked me to find him a contest to the race thread. jerboy begins his Seti racing career this morning in the Lonely Racer's bracket hoping that a certain race coordinator will get off his dead duff and find him a race. Welcome to the SRL, guys!

Thanks, OD. :) A hearty "Welcome" to the new members and a big "Congratulations" to the Milestoners.

I should have the old P3 machine up and crunching this weekend, so I should be back into the 40s per day. Keep your fingers crossed. :)

Yes it should Micron. Hmmm, I see you're trying to add some P!!! power to your herd. I'm about to have a slot 1 P!!! 650E & an Alpha that will run 816 @ default all day,a BE6-II v1, some SDRAM and a new Gigabyte GA-7DX available. The Intel setup just needs to be pulled today or this weekend.
BTW, both my kids are older than 17.

Congrats to Serialb, Eltano1, KCJeeper and r0tt3n1 in finishing their respected races:) That'll remove my name in the 10 most recent race winners list tomorrow:eek:

Congrats to all the milestones makers:)

Yesterday, both Networkman and Smokeball were saying they are installing SETI in more computers. I didn't see any increase in the productions. In fact, Smokeball output decreased. I think both are holding workunits for a dump. Don't do that guys. We need to increase daily productions so that Team AnandTech wins over DSLR!

If I need to maintain a 100 workunits daily production to inspire you both to increase your productions, I'll make the sacrifice and do everything I can.:D

So, show us what you have!;) :p

Mahalo for the stats update and commentary, Ohio Dude.

Thanks you guys for teh support and OD for great stats and comments. It's a bittersweet victory for me, because I lost my SetiQ pc, so I have to find a way to up/dl the WUs from my fleet. I was thinking to install it in my pc and go from there, via either by zip disk and cdrw combo. I will keep you guys posted.
Thanks Evandman and Emos for not quitting (I just got lucky at the end with my assimilations)

Best regards

Eltano
