The race babes have been performing on the 10K SRL stage the last two days singing, among other tunes, that 60's classic "Hey Jimmy Mack! When Are You Coming Back?" accompanied by one of the SRL's rock bands, the Raunchy Relics lead my the multi-talented Rowdy Ray. Well, to answer the babes' question, Jimmy Mack is coming back today to celebrate his morph from four digits into five. With a strong push over the last several weeks, long time veteran JimMc showed the SETI world why people speak his name in a hushed whisper by storming across the finish line in The Great 10K Countdown, capturing hs 10th K-Key and earning the right to party hearty in the lounge. Becoming AnandTecher number 112 to cross the Holy Grail of milestones, Jimmy Mack strolls up to the awards stand, boogying to the classic tunes and picks up his 10K certificate and the special key to the race lounge as the crowd stands and cheers for one of the SRL's all-time favorite competitors. Congratulations, JimMc and welcome to the 10K Club!
The crowd rises to its feet, the deafening roar emanating from Packet Mauler Stadium shaking the ground and rattling windows. Something big has happened in the Funky Bunch Packet Mauler to 5000. Captain Funky has steared the psychadelic Funky Bus into the lead, incinerating 94 workunits inside the bus's big powerplant and leaving the pafster to cough and gag on the noxious blue fumes streaming from Funky's exhaust pipe. Meanwhile, noticing a slight down-turn in the pafster's production, the cruncher formally known as Yield, CraigRT throttles up his fleet and closes in from the third position. A quick look at the 2000 WU Bump and Dump shows that Minnie Minendo has entered the final lap of the race and appears to have developed some engine trouble at the most inopportune time. Ramping up production to an impressive 50+ per day, Captain Kewlie is closing in on Minnie's fleet at an alarming rate.
Reagan CRW[/b] keeps sprinkling the uranium dust on his rigs in the 3000 WU Whappin' Flappin' No Nappin' Workunit Wipe Out causing them to chew up the wu's in impressive fashion. So far, RCRW has managed to beat back all of the attempts by the Sinister Oscillator to claim ownership of the number one spot, but EvilWobbles has proven that he's not going away quietly. Poopsie is a pooper scooper on fire in the Whack 'em Smack 'em 2000 Packet Pulverizer! Remaining above the 30 wu mark for yet another day, the Scoopa of Poopa is providing his competitors with more than just a couple of Maalox moments. In the middle of the pack, AstIsis pounds out a monster 41 wu power purge to close the gap on gistech1978 who recently snatched the three spot from our first lady of racing. Just remember Gizzie: Hell hath no fury like a woman who has just been passed in a SETI race!
