Doing their own version of synchronized cruching, Makin' Bacon and Lean Lane dance a little choreographed 68 wu cha-cha in Cakin's Quest to Make Bacon From Lean Lane42. In a phenomenon seldom seen in the whacky world of SRL racing, the pair match each other's output, making for a really weird looking dance out on the track. In 20,000 Before the Project Ends, or Else!, the King of Karnage Karsten is blasting workunits out of the wu chute at an alarming pace, keeping Swell Swanny's honks well to his rear. A murmur is beginning to swell through the crowd as the packed house begins to wonder if Karsten's sporty new 100-plus daily average will be enough hutzpah to catch LiveLongAndProsper before the latter crosses the 20K barrier. Time will tell...
On day two of the 4000 WU Whacker Packer Roundup, Swell Swanny, the web-footed wonder, adds a few more wus to his lead over Zappin' Zod while the dancing duo from the top race cut the deficit to the Sheriff's posse by a pair. I've just got a sneaking suspicion that this crunching quad will provide the spectators with quite the spectacle before this contest is over. Yellin' Yield has the finish line on his radar screen and has placed the racing rig in overdrive in Beat the Race Coordinator (Over the Head) to 3000. Approaching a 200 wu advantage over the second place MoFunk, the crunchin' Canadian appears bound and determined to turn the rest of this race into a stroll in the park for him and his crew.
What a dandy dance we have going in the Whack 'em Smack 'em 2000 Packet Pulverizer where only 12 wu's separate positions one through four! In an odd twist of fate, each racer stares at a four wu deficit to the racer in front, with the exception, of course, of serialb who leads the pack at 140. Most notable so far in the bracket is the suprising showing from the rookie AstIsis who cruises in the number three position, smashing up the wu's in quite a handy fashion. Jolly JonB has steered his rigs onto the bell lap in the 1500 WU Dynamite Dumper. Glancing briefly in the rear view mirror to see his closest competitor Nasty Neovan now over three laps to his rear, Jolly Jon takes a moment to light up a cigar and pour himself a nice little glass of milk to sip as his rigs plow the rest of the way in cruise control.
