SRL crews have been hard at work, covering the lounge floor with sand and filling the snack trays will small fish and water insects. The hottub has become a cold tub and the babes are wearing thermal underwear underneath their wetsuits because Elfenix, the Crunchin' Crustacean, our own beloved little crabbie... er... sorry... Our own enormous Alaskan King Crab with the huge scary fore-claws has crossed over the Holy Grail of milestone markers at 10K, becoming the 109th AnandTecher to add a fifth digit to his tally. Scooting sidewise across the finish line, 'cause that's what crabs do, Elfie raises his pincers in the air and snaps those scary claws a number of times in the direction of the crowd, acknowledging the thunderous ovation one of Team Anandtech's old timers rightly deserves. Just as Yellin' Yield cut the throttles and engaged the cruise control, ready to put his feet up on the dash and light up a cigar, a thunderous explosion of a funky nature shocked him out of his reverie at the front of the pack in Beat the Race Coordinator (Over the Head) to 3000. Glancing quickly at the rear sensor array, Yield saw a sight that made his blood run cold. The psychadelic Funky Bus, trailing a huge cloud of dust, smoke, and packet particles was bearing down on his position at an alarming rate. Mirrored shades in place and an evil grin on his funky face, Captain MoFunk has the Funky Bus hitting on all cylinders as he bears down on the Crunchin' Canadian, intent on making Yield's re-possession of first place a temporary thing. Meanwhile, Mighty Micron has fallen out of the battle for the lead and is in danger of having his buttocks overrun by a streaking Waynes World.
Scorchie has entered the final turn in the 500 WU Whack-A-Packet Rally, holding onto a 43 wu lead over Shim Shim Shimmishim whose munching engine just got a titanium packet housing caught between its teeth at the worst possible time. Meanwhile, Bullet BobTheWizard continues his stupendous recent pace but unfortunately it may have taken just a bit too long to get the turbines up to speed to launch an attack at the lead positions. Lobadobadingdong has hurdled his rigs near the 500 wu tally mark in the Whack Pack Packet Smack to 750 and that brings crt1530 into view only 34 wu's ahead. JustStarting takes high production honors for the bracket in the middle of the pack, increasing his advantage over Powerful Pyxis by six. Magnificent Maggotry has all engines purring nicely at the front of the pack in the Master Plaster WU Blaster to 1000, nearing the 20 wu per day mark and Why Yes YS earns a big smilie for his outstanding run of 13 workunits in the 1000 WU Packet Pounder Derby.
