In Beat the Race Coordinator (Over the Head) to 3000, Mighty Micron thrusts his rigs out to a four wu lead over Yield, breaking the tension filled tie from yesterday, while Captain MoFunk stands on the gas pedal in the psychadelic Funky Bus and lengthens his lead over OD to 49. Oh dear! The one thing that every SRL drag racer dreads has happened. The unthinkable, terrible, terrifying dive into the deep abyss of the unknown has enveloped our own Panhead49. A quirk of timing and wu whapping propensity has landed poor Panhead right on top of tally marker 666, the Bermuda Triangle of SRL drag racing! :Q Every racer in that bracket should be prepared for a day filled with wierdness and whackiness because poor Panhead49 fell into 666!
Back and forth they go, beating each other over the head with wu sticks and making very ugly faces at each other at every turn in the 1500 WU Dynamite Dumper. Today it's Jolly JonB's turn to power out to the lead, leaving nasty neovan choking on fumes and gasping for air from the second position. Slightly to their rear, Whackin' Wiz has opened up a 21 wu lead over Terrible Teriba who seems to be having a little trouble with the powerplant of his racing rig. DAPUNISHER has hit a pothole on the back stretch and flattened a tire in the 1000 WU Bumpster Dumpster, causing his fleet to come to a screeching halt. DAPUNISHER's misfortune is exactly what Poopsie and JimMc need to get right back into the race.
Having spent the last few days running his rigs at full throttle, serialb cuts power a bit and engages the cruise control from the lead spot in the Whack Pack Packet Smack to 750. Enjoying his new found stud status, the sequentially transmitted B takes a long look in the rear view mirror to gander at the log jam of racers trying to catch his tail. A bit of intrigue is developing in the middle of that bracket between lobadobadingdong (Ouch! I broke a nail typing that!) and Powerful Pyxis who are separated by only 20 wu's and giving the crowd quite a thrill. A faulty packet plug has crippled shim shim shimmishim's racing rig and he falls 24 wu's behind the leader Scorchie in the 500 WU Whack-A-Packet Rally and Makin' Bacon cakin continues to pad his lead in the Wild and Wooly WU Whomper to 3500. But being the savvy racing veteran he is, cakin is keeping a watchful eye to the rear in case Lanky Lane42 detonates his highly explosive wu queue.
