THe newest members of the 10K club continue to party hearty in the 10K lounge. If you want to have a good time, all you have to do is invite Minnie Minendo and Jumpin' Jatwell to your party! Dancin' to the beat, feelin' the heat, and learnin' the physics, these two party animals can celebrate with the best of them. As Minnie Minendo swings from the light fixtures with a whole tray of Oreos stuffed down his pants, Jumpin' Jatwell has decided that there's entirely too much beer in the fridge and he's taken it upon himself to remedy the situation. Well, it's not every day that a Seti cruncher gets to cross the Holy Grail of milestone markers at 10K, so party on, dudes! Just make sure you clean up the mess when you're done. And don't forget to tip the race coordinator on your way out the door. Welcome to the 10K club, gentlemen!
What did I get myself into? A new race begins this morning entitled Beat the Race Coordinator (Over the Head) to 3000 and after one day of racing, that's exactly what's happening. Mighty Micron takes out a baseball bat and slugs me in the right ear, smashing 123 workunits to take and early lead into the first turn. Wayne's World munches up 57 big ones, 15 over his normal average, to lay claim to the two hole and Yield follows only one behind at 56. In the fourth position, Poundin' Panhead49 gets a great start at 49, but that could be because the legally blind race official in charge of pulling the trigger on the starter's pistol fired a volley at his feet. And in the fifth spot, it's me, the race coordinator, out of the blocks with 43 and nursing the lumps on my head already. To my rear, Darth Polo leaves 13 wu's heaving on the ground at his feet while he begins charging up his queue for the jump to light speed, and bringing up the rear is the funkmeister himself, Captain MoFunk who is having a little trouble getting the psychadelic Funky Bus started. Good luck, gentlemen!
Another new race graces the race thread this morning, a stupendous and serendipitous sloshing of speed and stealth entitled the 500 WU Whack-A-Packet Rally that takes place down at Whack-A-Packet Park. Surging out of the gate at breakneck speed is Crunchin' Christof who stomps 20 wu's into the ground under his size 18 racing boots to take the early lead. Following Christof into the first turn is one of a pair of rookies making their SRL debut this morning, shimmishim, who has been climbing the TA ranks with reckless abandon since joining the team. He has already developed quite a following amongst the ladies in the stands because they like the cute way his dump muscles "shimmy" when he purges his queue. Bullet BobTheWizard joins his second SRL race and finds himself sharing the three hole with our other rookie, SWScorch, who is living up to his name by scorching eight workunits out of the gate. Last, but definitely not least, Zippin' Zim Hosein leaves six workunits smoldering in the dust behind him as he trails the pack heading into turn one.
