SRL crews have been working all night polishing the fixtures in the 10K lounge, mopping the floor, scrubbing the tub, picking through the Oreos to make sure only the best and freshest ones are layed out on the snack trays, and taste testing the brew to make certain that it lives up to the highest standsrds for refreshment because it's time for a party. Today we welcome another 10K-er into the fold, the 84th Teamer to cross over the morph point from four digits to five. Paf077 sails across the finish line in The Crunch & Munch 10K, taking the checkered flag by 1134 wu's over the British Bulldog Racers. Slapping down a big-time tally of 94 overnight, the Pafster flew across the finish line with afterburners blazing, saluting the crowd from the pilot's seat of his racing rig as he tore around the track for his victory lap. Pulling his rig into the winner's circle, the crowd gasps as the dashing pafster leaps from the cockpit, reaches back into the cabin of his rig, and flips the dump switch which causes the machinery to rumble and roar and squirt a few more cracked packets out of the wu whomper. As the pounded packets smolder and steam on the ground, Paf pumps his fist in the air and the crowd roars its approval. Congratulations, paf077, and welcome to the 10K club!
Awesome Adul has issued himself another challenge, this time challenging himself to catch and pass the 250th spot on the team roster by the time the project ends. Claiming a spot at the top of the race thread in Awesome Adul's Race to TA-250, Adul begins his quest with a big time bombardment of Berkeley's wu receptacle consisting of 20 pounded packets. The power purge elevates the racer from TA-Roster Spot 272 to TA-Roster Spot 271 in a flash. Good luck, Awesome Adul!
I'd also like to welcome a rookie racer to the Lonely Racer's bracket who is hoping to hit 1500 by the time the SETI-I project comes to a close. Using the Lonely Racer's bracket only as a stepping stone, Lithium381 begins his SRL career looking for someone to join him in his 1500 wu crunch quest.
