Seti Queue

I am messing around with Seti Queue and have a few questions.
How do I get computers on my network to connect to the queue? They do not have (always on) internet on any of them. I need them to go through the network, is this possible?
I have dial up internet, can seti Queue dial itself up? Would I need to change my internet connection properties to "always dial my connection"
Thanks

Also, should I decide to move the queue machine to a relitaves house that has broadband could I use some kind of free program to run it over the internet.

Thanks again.

If anybody wants to check out the settings it is at http://127.0.0.1:5517 ... maybe at least I can get to it form the computer it is on from that address.

I was able to upload/download results through seti Driver from the machine that Seti Queue is running on. however I cannot access it from any other computer on my network. I dont even know if anybody can access it on the internet from the address above.

Edit: I tried accessing the http server from another computer connected to the internet and I was unable to see it. I guess the whole Idea is unpratical unless you have broadband.

Here I go again on another SetiQueue thread 😉

Right, say you have the SetiQueue on your machine which is connected to the internet (even if not permanent). Say it's IP address is 192.168.0.1. Set up SetiDriver on all machines to use a proxy server, with the address of 192.168.0.1, and port 5001. I'm guessing all of these are connected via a switch or similar.

Using the address 127.0.0.1 will tell a computer to talk to itself, that is what's known as the "loopback address". You must access via the 192.168.0.1 address.

In the settings, you can select a time that you want SetiQueue to connect, in your case it would be good to set it for a time when you are sure you will be on the internet, like first thing in the morning or when you get back to work. This will tell SetiQueue to only try to connect during the times you specify.

If you were to move the queue to a relatives house, remember that you will still have to get your computers onto the internet for them to be able to access it...which i guess will be going against the thing you're trying to do 🙂

Any more things you need explaining, or any more questions, just ask. I'm sure someone else will be able to help if i'm not around 🙂

Confused

Well, I've for 3 years now used SetiQueue, but I've never used SetiDriver. 😉

To setup SetiQueue, the easiest is:
Install SetiQueue on a NT-machine, preferably on the machine that is connecting/dialing to your isp/internet.
You don't need to assign either ip-address or subnet-mask in Setiqueue, just use the default 0.0.0.0 / 0.0.0.0

On all machines connected on the LAN, run Seti@home with -proxy NT-MACHINENAME:5517 (the name of the machine running the SetiQueue)

Of course, you can also use 192.168.0.1:5517 or something similar...
