SETI Questions

Hey Team,
Just wondering how I could install SETI so that the SETI Driver (or whatever companion program) isn't visible in either the taskbar or in the system tray. I'm gonna install it in my brother's and dad's athlon systems but I don't want it cluttering their trays. Also, in SETI Driver what do the options "Auto Transmit, Display Transmit, SETI Client Priority, Use SETI Spy, and Create SETILog.scv" do? One more thing, can someone provide a link to the current SETI stats for our team and the race? Thanks! 🙂

Smokeball's race stats here

Dpends on the OS for hiding the icons, there are a few ways. On my WinNT and 2K boxes I merely run seti driver as a service and then it is all hidden from normal view.

<< Also, in SETI Driver what do the options "Auto Transmit >>

Transmits completed wu's as soon as they are done

<< , Display Transmit >>

A dos window will pop up showing the actual transmission (usually kept off except for setting up)

<< , SETI Client Priority, >>

Basically this sets how seti will use the processor, keep on low to avoid seti hogging the processor from other applications

<< Use SETI Spy >>

Seti spy is a utility that monitors your progress on the wu and gives you some stats,

<< and Create SETILog.scv" >>

Creates a comma separated value (.csv) file that can be viewed in excel to look at your wu's

I think I got 'em all! Anyone else feel free to add to it.
