SETI question

SmoochyTX

Lifer
I just set up SETI on my comp earlier this afternoon. Everything went smooth until it seemed time to transmit my 1st wu.

Right now, the icon in my system tray is a yellow color and when I mouse over it says, "1 to Return, 1 to Fill".

How are the wu's transmitted? 1 by 1 OR after all in my cache have been done?

If one at a time after it's completed, why isn't mine being transmitted?

Also, I'm not showing up on the TA Seti Stats page now at all. Earlier, I was showing up but as inactive because I was working on my first wu. When will I show up on there?

Thanks all. 🙂

Do you have the Auto Transmit box checked? Also, if using a proxy server (Queue), what one are you using and what port? (Possible port blocking?)

You were listed at 2,675 on the TeAm page

Click me! 🙂

You'll move up fast even with 1 WU at this point...as there are many new TeAmmates just starting their DC journey! 🙂

Sounds like you're using the CLI/SETI Driver combo. Open Driver & click on the "Transmit" button. It should then send & recieve however many WU's are entered in the "Desired Cache Size"

SET the "Desired Cache Size" to store several days worth of WU's. Then you can upload them as they are finished.
If you have an "always on" internet connection, check the "Auto Transmit" box & hit the "Save Config" button afterward. Finished WU's will be uploaded & new WU's downloaded as they finish.
Alway hit the 'Save Config' after making any changes to SETI Driver settings.

From my very, very limited experience with SETIDriver, it seems to upload your work units somewhat erratically. For me, it's usually between 1 and 3 complete that it sends them off. Don't worry, they'll all get there in the end 😉

Yes, the box to Auto Transmit is ticked. The proxy server I'm using is the seti.teamanandtech.com one on port 5001.

Yes I'm using CLI and I've got a cable modem.

Maybe it's like Allio said, eventually they'll get transmitted. 😕

That Q doesn't work anymore. For now, just check NO PROXY/SOCKS and I bet things will start working.
