SETI Question - is there a program to monitor SETI like CowControl does RC5?

This weekend I was introduced to CowControl and MyCows. MyCows gets my vote! Is there a program for SETI that monitors active clients on a LAN? Currently you can use SetiQ to see if the WU is returned in the prescribed average time, but with this method you could go many hours without knowing that it had died. The two programs above check periodically to see if a RC5 client is active. I have it check every 5 minutes. Neither program uses much in the way of resources.

So, is there such a program for SETI?

If you were working off a linux box and run X, you could use KSetiwatch. And KSetiwatch lets you monitor both your *nix boxen as well as your windoze boxen!

It does seem to do the job, BUT, I like the way MyCows does things better. The icon in the Systray has about 6 color states so that you can tell at a glance if there is a problem. It also has a bar that I've located at the top left of my screen that shows each system and the number of Blocks in the Buff-out file along with an indicator to show how the cow is performing. This way I can leave the program minimized and still know the status.

Anyway, thanks for the link! 🙂😀
