SETI Proram/Client - Can't uninstall

I know there was this push to run Seti@home Seti, but how do you remove this ?

I have a Seti directory that I cannot delete; the seticlient.exe is running everytime I start my PC, and it won't let me close the program.

What gives?

Thanks for any assistance

You can exit the seti client easily by right clicking on that little satilite dish looking thingy down in your system tray (by the clock) and going to exit. You sould be able to delete the directory then. Also, you'll want to delete any startup reference to it (eg in your startup folder in you start menu).

Thanks, I'm running W2k.

I have no tray icons.
con/alt/del processes shows seticlient.exe running
Directory C:\seti@home
has 7 files with .sah extension, and setclient.exe, and srvany.exe

Gulp, I cannot remember where I got the installation.

Please phone home.

Just end task on the Seti Client with Crtl+Alt+Del, then delete the folder. Be sure to delete any startup reference (eg: startup folder)

Beau:
That was the first thing I tried.
ERROR= Unable to terminate process.

What now?

IF you have SETI, can you terminate it?

Are you trying to kill it as administrator instead of your norm al user account? If it is running at startup it maybe running under the administrator privledges, in which case you should not be able to kill it without being administrator. And if worse comes to worse, let it run. 😛
