SETI problem? (just installed)

SETI keeps popping up a dos window titled SETI 6 - Transmitwith :
"New Software Version - deleting temp files" about every 30 seconds or so...

then, in it, "found data file - no, found result header file - no."
then "getting data... then receiving data... up to 340 k

etc.

any ideas how to stop it?

If you are using SetiDriver, be sure there is NOT a check-mark next to DISPLAY TRANSMIT.

Even if you don't have a check-mark next to DISPLAY TRANSMIT, the original batch of CACHED WUs will open that DOS window you are seeing. Once the original batch is downloaded, that will stop.

When you first download workunits the tranmitts box pops up each time it downloads a new workunit until your cache is full. Unless you have the display tranmitt box checked you shouldn't see it after that.

it quit... thanks. Must have just been the first 40 of them still going... 🙂 Wow, the kids' computer is fast.. there's is already close to 1/3 of the way done with the first one.
