Does anyone have an idea of how well SETI runs on the new Pentium M cpu? Any Dothan benchmarks out there?

It will be very fast, that's for sure!
Thought I saw a release of a 2Ghz Dothan CPU today in Japan.. It costs around ?600, so $650 or something..
The cooler (only a heatsing, no fan needed) costs almost $60!!! Huge black thingy with a copper inlay..

I'm really looking forward to it! Other good news is that Intel will start working on a dual core Dothan, since the power usage is that low it must work real good! Even with a dual core, my Celeron 366 @ 550Mhz will use much more! :D

How long does it take to process a single work unit?

i dunno, must be faster than my 1.4 pentium m which is about 2 hours each.

You can use the Ars benchmark work unit to compare SETI numbers. The file & instructions can be found here:
Ars benchmark

Here's the rather outdated benchmark page:
Benchmark results

Does anyone have a link to Roelof's BM page? It was a little more up-to-date.

maybe I will check that out later, doing F@H now and comparing it to a p4 2.8 with 512MB , started my dothan before the p4,2.8, it was at about 10/400 when i started the p4, and this morning the p4 is 189/400 and my dothan is 141/400 so i guess that answers your questions :) Both on same amount of time, very very limited processing being done on the dothan last night....just browsing the forums...bout it. I'm actually slightly disappointed in the performance of my dothan. I figured the 2MB cache would be a huge performance perk. :(

well since i first started folding, my dothan has done 11 WU's ( i guess its about the past 2 weeks maybe? Not quite sure.) Its had at least 3 WU's with 4000/5000 or so. I have a P4 2.4 running it at work, and it only has 7 WU's done, now this could be that 5 of its WUs were the large ones, but i did nto see it, i do know the first was small, i think 250, and the latest is a 400. And there was a 500 before that.

But the dothan has only been running about 1/2 the time, due to me being on battery, or needing the cpu power for other things. so i think its pretty compressive:)
