I know that seti is a little bit behind in getting the whozits and whatzits all caught up, but doesn't 113,000 cobblestones seem like a lot of pending credit???

edit: wow, just went up to 122k and down to 118k in the span of 30 minutes... but no change in my RAC... wtf?

I agree, I have also a very high number of pending credits: though only 45K. ;)

There are 1,556,285 seti@home results and 457,421 astropulse results awaiting validation. That is a great lot.

Doesn't Seti need a quorum to be reached before they award credit? If so you could just be unlucky enough to be waiting on someone else to finish the WU's before you will be granted credit.

yes, but it is highly unlikely that I've never been more than 32-33k "unlucky" and now I'm closer to 120k. The servers have been down for most of the past 2 weeks and I just started using v 5.03, plus peter mentioned that he's got lots of pending credits as well.

@ just learning, credit isn't used for anything other than allowing you to know how much work you're doing.

I wish ... ;)

The correct term in all BOINC-projects (incl. Seti@home) is cobblestones. Too hard to write, too hard to say. Credit is better in that way. In Folding@Home they have ppd as in points per day.
Also it gives you credit as in credibility - you have crunched a long time and/or on a number of computers, have experienced most of the problems, read about or crunched a number of projects, and so on.

I agree. I usually have approx 2 - 2,5 times my RAC in pending credits; now it is 4 times my RAC. It is a matter of servers being down and a large number of results waiting for validation.

I'm new at this so I'm still feeling the ropes, but I've got a question for those of with you with 10k+ pending. How many tasks is this from? I can complete roughly 3 tasks per week based off of the first few tasks I've gotten on my new build and they're all only for 1.2-1.5k. How are you getting these obscene amounts?

I have some 17 astropulse tasks (each more than 12500 cobblestones) and the rest is a large number (more than 400) of the older WUs (each about 45 - 50 cobblestones each. Please note that I am running some 25 computers and that almost all comps have dual- or quad-core CPUs and that the comps run 24/7 ...

Edit: I am not running seti@home only. I also run the TAS-projects - approx 50 - 60% of my capacity. If I would run seti@home only I would do a RAC of approx 20 - 23K/day

peter is being modest. What he really has is a dual use heater/computer farm in his basement.

I have the following:

x3350, 4 c2d cores @ 3.36 with gtx 260
q9450 4 c2d cores @ 2.88
q6600 4 c2d cores @ 3.0
t7250 2 c2d cores laptop @ 2.0
e7200 2 c2d cores @ 2.53
e7200 2 c2d cores @ 2.53
x2 4000+ 2 amd cores @ 2.1

I'm running v 5.03 on all the quads, but still ned to update the other c2d's. the x2 4000+ is my old work machine. I've been gone more than a year and it's still going!!

I'm only showing 19k ppd right now, but once my credit catches up I expect it to be closer to 30k. I'm doing about 2 astropulse wu's (at 1250 credit each) per core on all 3 of my quads. The other 3 c2d's are work computers so I don't expect quite as much out of them, but they were each running about 2000 ppd before the recent work stoppages.

btw I'm showing 121k pending right now. My mix is about the same as peter's, a bunch of the older wu's and a big pile of astropulse wu's.
